I can't stop using the mapping capabilitys

I was skeptical after reading some other reviews. But now that I have it,it works great. The tracking feature if within a couple feet walking. Its spot on when used with the phone. When not used with my phone its still great. The tracking lines tend to be within about 10 feet of where I'm actually standing when using the watches gps alone. It plots the line about every 100 yards @ 35-40 mph. I am using the maps it comes with and viewranger for off line maps. (I have not used map box yet ,nor have I ever but I will try it soon and let yall know my thoughts on that) I have clumsy fingers and the screen is very forgiving.(meaning it does what I want it to do) I'm especially happy with the simple planning of how to find apps, set up special features. Simply swipe and you can go back and forth easily. (unlike my other smart watch that I have to have my wife adjust things in or turn on and off things in the watch cause its a mission to find settings) It is bigger then I'm used to but not overly big. I only wish I could get a Velcro band for it. The one it comes with is nice I'm just partial to a nylon Velcro band is all. ps. I can see it just fine in direct sunlight no matter what screen its on and I keep it on the dimmest setting it has.

Casio WSD F20 Indigo/Black

After 2 days, I am only scratching the surface of what this smartwatch can do. Easy to learn operations, great display, GPS works well . I found an app that sends tracks to Google Earth. I kayak a lot and not worrying about getting it wet. New OS "H" update helps with battery issue. Turn off what you're not using and battery lasts longer. Monochrome display is great , very visible. If you are a hiker, biker, camper or kayaker like me you will enjoy this smartwatch. Give one a try , you'll see why this is the best hidden gem of the outdoor gear realm. BONES.

Nice Hardware Terrible Software

I bought this watch for the offline maps, but the app is not even finished. MapBox, which is not the built-in mapping application, is the only way to use offline maps, and it crashes every time you swipe in it. Several other details have been overlooked as well. - Wifi connections are not very reliable. - App store search is somewhat flaky. Search returns "no results" on the watch interface, but it returns what you're looking for on a computer. - Slight nuisance in the onboard map application is that it does not tell you that it is in the process of acquiring satellites, and you're stuck looking at a location in Japan for a very long time. This was confusing until I realized it was taking time to acquire GPS and you need to be out in the open.

Great smartwatch for everyday use

I bought this watch primarily for an everyday smartwatch that allowed to view text msgs, e-mails, track my workout etc. Since I left the Marines I am more of a recreational outdoorsman but wanted to have the ability to track my path and return to base when I am done. This watch does all of my needed functions very well. The 3 things that I wish it could do better are as follows: 1. Given the size it should have a longer battery life i.e. 3 days w/ full function or the ability to charge via solar 2. I wish it had a mic and speaker so I can take call from my watch 3. I wish it would use QI charging If it had at least items 1 and 2 I would give it a 5 star rating. Great watch and get lots of compliments.

Casio Outdoor Watch

I bought it about a month ago, I absolutely loved everything about it except having to charge it more than once a day. I didn’t use it for much and the battery just drained.
