Fast, durable & easy to use
This shovel is simple, fast and durable. I don't want to question my gear if I want to save someone in an avalanche. I use it for ski guiding, ski patrol and personal ski tours for 3 years now and it has never let me down. I love the T handle, it is super easy to grip and I use it when shovelling out columns in my snow profile. The only down side is the blade is not flat (making shovelling more efficient) but when I'm trying to make a perfectly flat wall for a snow profile it then takes a couple tries.
Tough little shovel
This shovel is light and strong. I've put a beating on it as it was intended and ...otherwise. The "hoe mode" is great for excavation and new search and rescue strategies promote this method of clearing avalanche debris.
Push Button Failed on Second Use
The shovel is light and comfortable to use and everything else seems great...but the push button that locks the shovel head to the shaft broke the second time i used it and the head doesnt stay in place...will be returning.
