Rad Rubicon
I can't tell you the last time I owned an insulated winter jacket. Been using shell and separate layer for years or would just suffer through the cold for a while. Tiring of that I decided it was time for a dedicated winter jacket. I went with black because this would be primarily a work/casual jacket and back up for the coldest days of snowboarding. Luckily there was an after season sale in my size. Gotta say, I am impressed with the warmth of this jacket in regular casual mode. The inside is soft and lack of bulk provides for excellent maneuverability. The hand pockets are warm, and internal pockets plenty and varied. The hood being designed to accommodate a helmet, gives the right coverage and sight when just using a hat. Haven't used on the mountain yet, but there is good coverage in the back for the lifts. No removable hood if that makes a difference to you. Sizing feels true and should allow for plenty of necessary layering.
