Without equal.

After trying just about everybody else's vests without satisfaction I went for the Proton. No surprise its a perfect fit, really warm, breathes well (and I run hot) and the face fabric so far seems really durable. I was going to get the Cerium SL vest as I have the jacket and that's a wowser but favoured a product that could take the beating which it's going to get as my go-to extra mid layer and climbing vest. Typical dead bird; you simply can't fault it.

Great vest

I love this vest and, like so much Arc'teryx offers, it is the highest quality and the perfect mix of warm but lightweight. At 6' 4" 189 lbs., I really appreciate the extra length of this vest, and the pull cords on the sides are good for adjusting the width of the bottom. If I had one minor issue to note, it's a little baggier than I would prefer, but the next size down was too small. I've got the XL. Well done again, Arc’teryx!

Proton LT Vest

This is very warm, durable vest. Has a more burly feel than the Atom LT Vest. I wear it under my Waders a lot and have not noticed the shoulders wearing which is a huge plus. Keeps me warmer than the Atom LT vest too. Don’t have to play with the zipper when being static vs moving. This piece does do well again slight rain, If wearing as an outerlayer. Does have a slimmer waste, with a more athletic cut shoulders.

My go to mid layer

My go to for a mid layer with a shell but can also wear this on its own when working hard going uphill. Lightweight and great fit is exactly what I want for skiing. Slightly warmer than my atom vest.

Wonderful

A really nice and lightweight piece. I went for a small as I often find Arc'teryx' medium to be too large. It fits, just about.
