I purchased this sleeping bag for a bioluminescence kayaking camping trip. Surprisingly, I found it easier to compress this sleeping bag into the stuff sack than the Serrena model. In addition, it fit perfectly in the bottom compartment of my Osprey Ariel 55 backpack. I zipped this up with another REI down-insulated sleeping bag and found that my side was just as warm as the down-insulated sleeping bag. Granted, it was about 40 degrees F; however, I never felt cold at all. Since we were camping right on the bay, there was condensation dripping from the tent and onto the sleeping bag. Being water resistant, the water droplets rolled off the sleeping bag and onto my sleeping bag. Overall, I was definitely impressed with this sleeping bag! Not to mention, the color is gorgeous.
I bought this bag, because it claimed to be wider in the hips and more room at knees....bull! Maybe if you're a stick figure! When will outdoor equipment companies stop ignoring women who are curvy?! I have had mummy bags before that had way more room in them...the problem is that they're cheap and don't last. Why can't the good ones be made wider?
Purchased for my daughter out west, she needs protection during the night with crazy ambient temps. Will purchase again!!!
