All Scarpa non-plastic footwear uses European sizing.
• 1 Euro whole size = 6.6 mm = 0.26 inches
• 1 US whole size = 8.4 mm = 0.33 inches
• The 30 Euro sizes above cover the same size range as 24 US sizes.
• More Euro sizes provide a better, more precise fit for your intended use.
Rock Shoes: Scarpa recommends you downsize 1/2 to 2 full sizes from street shoe size, though downsizing depends on shoe model, intended use and personal preference.
Mountaineering: Scarpa recommends you upsize 1/2 size or more depending on desired fit. Scarpa plastic mountaineering boots are based on the UK sizing scale.
Ski Boots: All Scarpa ski bootsare measured in Mondo sizing. Highlighted (or not) sizes share the same shell size; the liners are lasted for each 1/2 size. Some skiers may want to downsize up to 1 full Mondo size, depending upon personal preference.

These are nice shoes but ridiculously small even by climbing shoe standards. I knew these shoes ran small when I decided to buy them, and my shoe size is anywhere between 5-6.5 so I went with a 37 (6). Got them and way too small like painfully small. So I ordered a 37.5 (6.5) thinking it would be perfect. Nope. I’m waiting on my size 38 (7) now… they seem like they’ll be a great shoe once I get them. The shoe is a little wider which is good for me and another reason I bought them. The quality seemed good and besides the length it was overall comfortable. Hoping I’ll like them when I finally get the right size
I got help from an associate that is an avid climber to help find the perfect fit and shoe for my first pair of climbing shoes. I tried on size 40 for several different pairs since I have a wider foot, and even though all the pairs fit well, these definitely fit my foot the best. This pair felt the best of all I tried. Took them climbing, spend about 3 hours at a rock gym breaking them in, and after using rentals for a few months, I can't be more excited about how good these feel to climb.
I was replacing my lost Helix pair and decided to try these on and fell in love. I found these to be comfier without sacrificing any performance, and I always thought laces vs velcro was kind of a silly non-issue, but man, I really love the ease of the velcro.
I have wide feet and narrow heels so finding shoes that fit right is challenging. I'm also flat footed so neutral shoes are a must. I'm usually a US 7-7.5 and got the 7. I've worn these on both indoor (top rope, bouldering) and outdoor climbs (multi pitch) and they have performed well and are of high quality. It did take me several climbs to "break" them in so I can comfortably wear without socks and my feet feeling "crammed". Would buy again!
I've been climbing for 10 years now and these have been my favorite non aggressive shoe for years, that I can wear 24/7. My feet are wide (bunions) and they can go wide enough for me which is harder to find. The only downside if your foot is wide, is that the velcro can't fasten very far onto the shoe, so I wear out the velcro bit usually the same time as the toe. The rubber toe isn't the mooost long lasting, but overall its a great shoe for me. I'm a 38 / 7.5 US sizing in street shoes and wear a 38.5 in this shoe. Not sure what people are saying about the sizes being inaccurate...
I got a pair of Scarpa Origins as my very first climbing shoes. They perform well and got me through many a competition, in addition to being a comfortable everyday climbing shoe. The lasted for 3 years until one of the straps eventually broke. I sized up half a size from my street shoe size, and they fit snuggly and perfectly. All in all a great first shoe, but maybe not the best choice if you're looking for a more aggressive, high-performing shoe. Happy climbing!
Very happy with my purchase. I am a beginner indoor bouldering climber, but quite satisfied with my purchase. I went with an 8 although I normally wear 7.5 as that one felt too tight on my right foot.
Comfortable and good choice for a beginner and intermediate climber. Like others have noted they run small so don't size down. I wear a women's 9 street shoe and bought a 41 and they were still a bit snug with some toe curl that will stretch out over time and be perfect. I tried them on in the store and noticed there's a big difference even in half sizes, so I recommend erroring on buying a size up.
Great fit and no rub! These are my first shoe and I love them.
Bought these for my first pair and I love them. The straps make it easy to get on and off and they aren't overly aggressive so I can wear them for an extended period of time. I normally wear a 7.5/8 and went with an 8. They are a bit snug, but once they stretch out a bit, they should be perfect. Highly recommend.
