first off, let's be clear that these are NOT waterproof. they are designed for wet and muddy running and they excel at that. the uppers will shed minor water splashes, but puddles will soak through even at a running pace. however, they do dry fast and we're great on a 15 mile trail run after two days of steady rain. like many Salomon, they are intentionally narrow which helps keep them from moving around on one's feet. it takes a little getting used to, but is actually very comfortable.

Great light weight shoes

I use these shoes for competitive grass doubles volleyball tournaments. They are very light weight and comfortable. They do well with dirt, wet grass, and mud. Due to the constant beating they take in volleyball I move them into my day hiking and trail running shoes after a year or two. I am on my second pair of this model and will likely buy another pair this upcoming year.
