Tried 3 different jackets - this is the one!
I love this jacket! The XS is fitted well for a small framed person (I am 5'3" and weigh 110). For lack of a better description, the jacket is not shiny, but has a matte finish which is unique among these types of jackets. Sleeves fit well and taper a bit at the wrist. So far, no down leaking through which is one of the reasons I returned both previously purchased jackets (REI and NorthFace). I recommend this one and would buy it again!
Slimming, stylish, and warm!
I bought this jacket initially to climb Pikes Peak in Colorado. Turned out to be a freak late-fall 50 degree day at the top so I didn't get to wear it. It actually took up little space in my day pack so didn't matter. Even though I didn't get to wear it there I'm excited for cold weather now so I finally can! I'm 5'8'' athletic build 145 and a medium fits perfectly. Usually between a small and medium for clothes, so go a bit bigger I'd recommend.
Kept me dry and warm in colder climate
Bought this jacket for my trip to New Zealand. Being winter there, it was cold but not freezing, however, the sea made it colder in the area I was at in Timaru. This jacket was light ( easily stuffed into a zip airtight bag for travel) stylish but very warm. I had to take it off on several occasions while hiking, I got to warm. I love this coat. Lightweight but warm. I bought a large and although a medium would have fit, I wanted a bit of room for sweaters underneath. Worked out great. Love this coat for the time I have had it couple of months.
Performance gear with feminine style
Replaced my 17 year old old north face down puffer (which I doubt will ever wear out) with this temperature moderating stylish stretch down jacket and LOVE it. I am 5'6" 120 lbs and the xsmall fits perfectly. Zero complaints about quality style or performance. Appropriate for backpacking, -! as a heavy ski layer, apres ski and for daily life in Northern California. Mountain hardware- excellent product.
