I bought these shoes about a month ago from REI in Sacramento. Took them on their first hike to Peru. We hiked for 10 days through the Andies with rain on multiple days. The shoes were very solid walking on all types of terrain. My feet did not get wet one time. The Gore-Tex help keep my feet dry and the shoes dried out fast and The Gore-Tex help keep my feet dry and the shoes were ready for action every day. So far shoes are as advertised. I will take them to the Sierra Nevada's next week to try some tracking up to peaks.

I have had many pairs of good runnning shoes, however this is my first pair of Salomon shoes. The Salomons are a great shoe! The fit is good with plenty of room in the toe box for my wide foot. They are undoubtedly the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. On the trail, they perform well in all conditions and excel when the trail gets muddy. Very happy with my purchase.

This is now my third pair of the speedcross shoes. I love the grip and comfort they give me year round in a lightweight "all of the above" shoe. From icy trails and winter use to summer hiking and everything in-between they provide the perfect features without having to change to a different shoe. They seem to last around 18 months of heavy use, which is much longer than any other brands I have tried. For an all around outdoor shoe these are very hard to beat.

I have worn these on up to 20 mile runs. They are light weight, comfortable, enough cushion for trail (one evening I ran them 8 miles on pavement and concrete anticipating potential winter weather conditions, conditions remained fine with no moisture and I will never run a trail shoe like this on pavement again because of the hard ride—user error!). I have a medium width foo, size 10. Fit true to size. No hot spots, easy adjustments with laces. I’ve run in cold winter trail conditions with injiniji toe wool socks around 20 degrees, 11 miles in started noticing my toes were freezing. Not the shoes fault, they are lightweight, would have been perfect with standard wool running socks). As close to a perfect trail running shoe I’ve used. Will be using for 50K ultramarethon next weekend and will be part of rotation during 100 miler later this spring.

I hike a steep grade 1800' climb a few times a month. The terrain is dry and very rocky, a bit of a trick getting down because it's so steep and dry, easy to slide. I've been wearing Keens but I decided to try to find a tennis show with good traction so I could run some. These shoes are amazing, great traction and they aren't as bulky as boots so not as clumsy maneuvering downhill through brush and rocks. Love them!

This is my third pair of Speedcross shoes, and they are as amazing as always. The grip on loose scree is incredible, and they are super comfortable as well. I couldn't live without the speed lace system after having this style for so long. I use these for trail running, lightweight backpacking and mountain scrambling unless the terrain is too unstable, then I switch to Salomon boots. Love these shoes.

I bought these shoes to run OCRs with, which they are great for! But beyond that, these are the most comfortable shoes I own, and I wear them constantly. I now own 5 pairs in different colors so I can wear them all the time. LIghtweight, comfortable, easily washed and they dry quickly. Awesome, well made shoes.

I run on steep rocky/muddy trails. The wider toebox leaves more room for my forefoot which really helps on the downhill portion of my runs. I'd still like to have a more durable sole, the lugs wear fairly fast. I appreciate the clima shield, not fully waterproof but definitely water resistant.

I have had about 8 pairs of Salomon trail shoes over the past several years . All of them have been very good , including this newest pair. I have used other brands, and they were ok. But have always come back to Salomon. These are definitely the best trail shoes for me. Thank you!
