Shoe comfort and durability
Very comfortable but not very durable. It is already coming apart where your heel slides into the shoe.

Cons & Pros - But Overall I Love Them
They’re very comfortable & last great. This is about my 100th pair of them. However, they stopped making them with leather uppers & that’s what I strongly prefer. We do lots of tearing around the trails on ATVs & have lots of different animals. 4-wheeling in mud or doing chores in net uppers (or whatever it’s called) is bad for me for a couple reasons: 1. If you’re in mud or wet grass even, your socks, feet & shoes are all going to be wet for awhile; and 2, cleaning them up & drying them out is a lot more hassle than the leather uppers. In some cases, “they ain’t never gonna be the same”. If you don’t have any redneck tendencies, I’m guessing you’ll love them. But other than that, I love them.

Never thought these would be my favorite shoes
Solidly constructed slides that are performing well as I vacation on sandy beaches and wooded trails. Easy on and off mean I am not tracking sand and dirt inside. Did I mention they look great with jeans, shorts, and khakis.

Great show but tighter than expected
I had a pair of Merrell slip-on’s back in the early 1990’s and I loved them!! They lasted forever and were some of the most comfortable shoes. I bought a pair of these shoes wondering if they would be as comfortable as my old pair. They would be great shoes is they were not so tight. If I do not put them on first thing in the morning, there is no way I could put them in later in the day. Now when I wear them, they are great. I think next time I will try a wide, though I never thought of my feet as wide (I have never had to get wide shoes before) but I am willing to try wide to see if they fit any better. I would love to be able to try them in at a store to find what size works best for me, especially from mid-day onward.
Love my Encore Bypass 2
I was having some pain in my right heel and my wife recommended these shoes. They are light as a feather and the foot bed has great cushioning. I don't wear them for hard outdoor work, but for light duty or relaxing around the house or trips to town they have become my favorite shoe. I like them so much I am ordering another pair with full leather tops. I still have the pain in my right heel, but the ease of slipping these shoes on and off, and the padded foot bed and arch support in these shoes make them my "go to" shoe for comfort.
These shoes are 💰! Comfortable and stylish
Love these shoes. I had a predecessor version for like 10 years. Favorite for how I used them. I got compliments on their look. Super comfortable. Great utility. Amazing design. Has the thinnest of lips around the heal that allows them to stay on but doesn’t impede stepping into them. I wish they came in more colors / designs. My previous pair were an olive color and they were 💰. I washed them in hot water in the washing machine and it separated the glue. My bad

More comfortable than I imagined.
My Podiatrist recommended this particular shoe. I wear it around the house all the time. No more foot pain. When she recommended that I buy this particular shoe, I thought okay, I will give it a try so that I could tell her I tried them. I am pleasantly surprised that my feet are more comfortable than walking barefoot. It is no wonder that she recommended them. For out door walking I bought your Moab adventure Lace WP, again on her recommendation.
Encore Bypass 2
Second pair of Merrell’s for me. They may take time to conform to your foot . To speed it up after each time I wear them I put in shoe trees which helps greatly. I’m 75 and occasionally have swollen feet so you may never experience it. The back of the shoe shouldn’t wear out if you pickup a 15” to 18” shoehorn and use it when slipping them on. This is also until they get broken in. Mine never wear out. All of my Doctors wear them.

YES needs more colors. worn this color long enough and now looking at other shoe manufacturers to find another brand. And, the black ones I had to replace earlier this year have a ridiculous non leather edging which is like cloth and not happy with that change either. Likely will switch after 5 purchases over the years to another brand. The new manufactures of Merrill's just not interested in feedback or consumer input.
Mules? Yes please.
These are great mules. Very comfortable and look good. I did need to order a half size bigger. I ordered a second pair before the first wore out to ensure I have shoes I like before these are phased out. I've been a long-time Merrell mule fan but there are not many mule styles. I wish they had more. I love the mules because they slip on to my feet easy and provide the support and comfort my feet demand.
