My mountain bike came with a really hard seat and I’ve noticed that many of my other riders no longer had their hard seats , except for the hard core guys! I am not that anymore, I like a softer seat for my crotch area , that’s the one place I do want comfort, even if I’m just a weekend warrior

abrasive seams on your rear

Saddles are limited at REI so this seemed to fit the bill. Then I felt the seams while installing it. I went for a 40k ride and didn’t feel too much ill effects but these seams absolutely do not belong on a bike seat let alone an “endurance “ saddle. Don’t buy this.

Great Saddle

This saddle worked right out of the box with only one minor adjustment. It normally takes at least 100 miles with dozens of sores and adjustments to get a new saddle right with my anatomy. The sales rep at the Southlake, Texas store was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He had just finished a coast-to-coast ride and assured me that even though he felt the saddle would work for me, he would gladly take it back and exchange it for one which would work. I love REI, because the staff members are credible, helpful, and excited about a customer having a positive outdoor experience.

Like it!

I bought this saddle about a week ago and installed in on a hybrid bike. The previous saddle was wider and softer. This one is narrower that the one I had, but somehow is more comfortable. I followed the directions on how to correctly install and adjust the saddle on a bike and the results are surprising. I am 6'1" and 180 lb. It turns out that setting the right height and angle could make a big difference. The saddle feels great and even after 2 hours of riding does not introduces any discomfort to my ride. If you're an athletic bike rider and you're riding your bike regularly, this is a great fit.

Huge Improvement Over Stock

My Cannondale BadBoy 3 original saddle was shockingly bad for a $1000 bike. An urban bike is supposed to be a little more 'rounded' than a road bike, I guess nobody told the Seat Selection Committee. Anyway, the swap took a 6MM Hex and 5 minutes, then an hour 'adjustment ride'. Compare to where the original saddle was fitted, I had to raise the saddle up 1 CM, back 1CM, and adjust the tilt back a notch as well. I'm 6' and 235 Lbs, so I can attest that this seat works well for big guys.

Feels like my sit bones are on fire

I don't know what's going on with this seat, as the padding seems nice and it's clearly high quality. Perhaps it's the pronounced rounded sections, but for whatever reason this seat focuses my entire weight through my sit bones and it feels like those are the only contact points sitting on top of two firm perches. In a matter of minutes biking is an ordeal as all I can feel are the sit bones digging in and my whole backside burning, quickly becoming unacceptable. I returned this for the Bontrager Commuter Comp saddle, which was a 1000% improvement in comfort, and cheaper as well.

Where's the gel?

I bought this and rode on it one day before returning it. The other reviewers must have been riding on another saddle, as I found this one to be hard as a rock compared to the Selle Respiro I have been riding. That seat's not the most comfortable but it's way more padded than this one. My quest for a truly comfortable seat continues... Two stars nevertheless though, as the quality is superb -- the seat is obviously well built and looks like it'd last a long time, assuming it's comfortable for you unlike it was for me.

Number three

This is my third Terry saddle. I have a Liberator Y and a Liberator Flite along with this saddle. They are simply the most comfortable saddles I have used. I put the Liberator Y Gel on my bike Saturday and rode 40 miles on Sunday in perfect comfort. They aren't the lightest saddles on the market but I will trade comfort over weight any day. The Flite is on a drop bar, the two liberators are on flat bar bikes.

Very comfortable for me

I'm 5'10 and about 180 lbs. I commute to work everyday, about 1 hour and 35 minutes each way. I find the bike seat comfortable and do not have any discomfort at the end of the day. I find that I cannot ride with a Bontrager standard seat, considerably narrower than the Terry seat, without it hurting.

Awesome Seat

Awesome seat the one that came with my bike I would start hurting after about an hour and half in the saddle. I was getting ready to do a century and new I needed something better. This seat is a game changer worth every penny. Did my century in 8 hours with no problems except my legs were tired.

Best I've found

After trying over a dozen saddles, this is the best for me when I get tired on my Brooks B-17 leather saddle. I'm getting a second one for my second bike. I ride 4000+ miles a year.
