Easy to use, solid

I climbed the Alpspitze last weekend by way of the via ferrata and this set worked well, was easy to operate with gloves, and kept me moving fast. The set wasn't too heavy and i didn't take a fall on it so i can't say how that works, but overall it was easy to use and felt solid.

Simple, easy to use and durable

I bought these to use guiding the Telluride and Ouray Via Ferrata routes and they have been working great. The unlocking mechanism is simple to manipulate and the force-reducing pack is compact, making it easy to girth hitch through the belay loop on my harness (some other brands are a bit challenging to pass through the attachment loop...). The pouch that contains the "screamer" is built from a durable-seeming fabric, so I expect it will outlast some other lanyards I have used. They haven't had a chance to see a full season of use yet, but I've had other lanyards in which the pouch abrades to the point where it no longer contains/protects the screamer system. I'm confident that the BD set up will prove more durable. I'm psyched that BD has brought their lanyards back to the US! Thanks for a great product.

BEWARE - Doesn’t Lock Properly

After using the VF once I noticed the sliding lock kept getting caught and wouldn’t lock all the way. I submitted this flaw to BD warranty and after reviewing and showing them the issues - they deemed it “fully functional”. I’ve used plenty of VF and never had this issue before….so definitely go with another brand. I’ve been very happy with my new Petzi Scorpio VF system.

Confidence for Yosemite's Half Dome

I bought these to use for the cables on Yosemite's Half Dome. Even though, it is not a via ferrata proper, I was concerned about my safety because of all the other yahoos that would also be on the cables little to no regard of their own safety, nevermind those around them. They served me well.

Yes , I recommend this product

Worked like it should!

Sometimes, managing your lanyard while doing a via ferrata is the most challenging and sometimes annoying part of it all. This system worked great to me! The locking mechanism caused me no troubles and was super easy to open and close with one hand. I was never fumbling.

Half Dome- Safe and Secure!

I bought a set of these for my family to use on Half Dome last week and they worked great! The stretchy lanyards and latching carabiners allowed us to climb freely while still feeling secure. Very high quality product for the price!

Solid set, but heavy

I’ve used this for via ferratas in Telluride and Ouray, Colorado. It is definitely solid. It’s easy to use the claws. It is heavier than some lightweight lanyard sets, but also about the same weight as other standard sets.

Sleek. Worked great!

Bought this for the Ouray via Ferrara and worked really well. I like that it came with a nice carrying bag. The locking biners had an easy to use quick spring loaded placket that can be used one handed. Nice colors.

Worked Great for Half Dome Cables

Bought this setup for use on the Half Dome Cables and was easy to clip and unclip and helped give me and my children peace of mind as we went up and down the half dome cables.

Unparalleled function

Via Ferrata made exceptionally easily with the BD lanyard. There is a reason that this device is the choice of guides.
