Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent convertible jacket I chanced upon this jacket in the main Seattle REI and thought it seemed ideal for early morning rides in summer. It has a pretty wind-proof front, arms that remove to a short sleeve, and three pockets in the back; so it seemed ideal for cold starting days that warm up. Indeed it is ideal and I love this jacket. I think it must have been designed by cyclists as, for example, there's no flapping with the wind when descending (as is common with convertibles). Also, it does not sag when you load up the pockets, and the elastic on the pockets is strong, so you can stuff all sorts of things there and it will hold perfectly (I tend to carry an extra water bottle in summer!). This is an excellent jacket. It might be high-ish priced at $150, but at $100 it is worth every penny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice snug fit, more like a jersey than a jacket Looking carefully at the sizing chart, I concluded that L would be best for me. As another reviewer noted, it fits snugly thanks to its stretchy fabric. Maybe I could wear it over a thin base layer, but wearing a regular jersey under it might be too tight. And an XL would probably fit funny. I expect to use it as a cool-weather long-sleeved jersey with removable sleeves to make it into a warm short-sleeved jersey. Its construction is first class. The description should note that there are TWO zippers to unzip to remove each sleeve, seems difficult to do without removing the jacket. Plus the zippers are small, so reattaching the sleeves is a bit fussy (probably not something one would need to do on the road anyway). This seems like a unique piece of riding apparel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Function and quality will cost you. The fit and quality of this jacket is first rate. I like the short sleeves that are on the jacket after you take off the long sleeves. It is vented well in the arm pits and on the back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Pro-Fit Jacket but ... I really like this jacket, but beware: this jacket is sized to fit tightly - order a size larger. I'm currently 6'0" 195lbs. I wear a Large in normal clothing. I ordered an XL and it fits snugly on me. The red fabric is water resistant ... however the black fabric (e.g. the entire back and the backs of the sleeves are a breathable mesh. Therefore this jacket is great for transitional, but dry weather.
