Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm in love! After a couple weeks of wear, I am in love with this jacket! I was a little skeptical when it arrived because it is so incredibly light, however after wearing it on the slopes, the wind and water proof shell did exactly that and the Thermoball technology is so warm! The fit is exactly as stated, so there are no worries there. I was wasn't completely sold on this color originally, but it is actually a little bit darker than it looks in the picture and I have received so many compliments on it. Overall, I have absolutely no complaints what so ever and am so glad I bought this coat!!! I don't see myself having to by a new coat anytime soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FANTASTIC MULTI-PURPOSE JACKET I wanted one jacket that would do a lot of things and almost gave up hope. I go between Los Angeles and the northeast so I wanted a jacket that would be light enough for LA winter or could be layered to keep me warm in the snow, AND I wanted it to be waterproof as we prepare for El Nino in LA and snow back east. I went to REI in California, several Patagonia stores, all over the internet and couldn't find one jacket that would do it all. FINALLY hit the jackpot at REI in SoHo (NYC) where the saleswoman said this is the one and only jacket for me, and she's right. It runs pretty true to size, and I got it big enough so I could put another layer underneath. The quilted jacket zips out super easy 1-2-3, and the shell definitely keeps out wind and water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm Jacket For A Michigan Winter This is my first jacket that I have purchased from The North Face and I couldn't be happier! The inner layer keeps me extremely warm while the outer shell protects me from the elements. I will be wearing this jacket everyday of this upcoming winter, and with the quality of the coat and the lifetime warranty, I plan to use it for several more years. I really could not ask for anything more out of this jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally! I got the jacket of my dreams! I have wanted a good warm jacket from The North Face for years now, and I finally got the best of the best! I received a gift card from my boyfriend and I did a lot of research to find the perfect one for me. I am so completely happy with my Thermoball Triclimate jacket! It is more than I thought it could be - warm, stylish, comfortable... I have had warm ski jackets in the past but they were so bulky and uncomfortable, difficult to live in. Not this one. It's perfect! I couldn't be happier! So very thankful for The North Face for my new jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great coat. Not sure about the fit. Got this jacket for hiking. It is extremely lightweight, waterproof and breathable. My only complaint is the fit. I have broad shoulders, which the coat accommodates. I have a small waist and the coat is quite boxy on. In the picture on line it appears to have a curve inwards at the waist but it does not in person. I wish it had a drawstring at the waist. It fits like a men's jacket. For something I will wear all winter for years I would like something properly fitted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Waterproof without the "stiff" feel or noise. I love this layering masterpiece. I was tired of the crinkly waterproof jackets that make a lot of noise - you know what I'm taking about. Purchased this because I needed a white coat for football games (I'm an avid college football fan with season tickets and we do themes). When I took it out of the box, I thought North Face sent me the wrong coat - thinking it was way too soft to be waterproof. How wrong I was! I tailgated in this coat for 6 hours in the pouring rain and every inch covered by this coat was DRY! It rained for 70% of the game and I remained dry and comfortable. Don't hesitate to buy this coat!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this jacket!!!! I bought this to replace my triclimate that I purchased several years ago. This one fits MUCH better and is warmer. Also much lighter weight. The little tabs on the inner jacket lay flatter and don't bother me as much when I wear it alone without the outer shell. I also like the quilted look---really getting tired of "fleece". I purchased an XL even though all my clothes are Mediums and Larges. I was correct to do so. I have nice arm movement--no restriction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Jacket I have had this jacket for several months now and I absolutely love it. I did a lot of research before investing in a jacket at this price, but I am so glad that I did. I bought it before my trip to Iceland and I was incredibly warm the entire trip. The jacket is really light and I was surprised when I took it out of the box, but I couldn't believe how warm I am. Especially now that the Philly winter is upon us, I am glad I have this coat. Great purchase!

Is this jacket suitabale for temperatures 0 degrees or lower with a negative wind chill? I'm planning a winter vacation for in the being of January to Wyoming and am looking for suggestions?

Asked by: Eemiller2
We do not provide temperature ratings on clothing because warmth depends on so many different variables including activity level, metabolism, perspiration as well as the other clothing layers you are wearing. For zero degree conditions we recommend multiple base and insulation layers to stay warm. I'm 5'3" and 110 lbs petite, wear small-medium, size 2-4 clothes. What size jacket should I get if I intend to layer it over a sweater?

Asked by: Fishee
We recommend comparing your measurements to the size chart provided. Based on the fact you wear 2-4 clothing, it looks like a size small may be the best size.
