MTI Belt Pack PFD's
I am the owner of Paddle Surf NJ. We are an instructional school for stand up paddle boarding and we teach from extreme beginners to advanced ocean paddling. We have been using MTI PFD's for several years now and I highly recommend their product line not only for my students, but for my own personal use. MTI's products are extremely durable, comfortable, and very well made to perform in the harshest saltwater conditions. Over the years I have paddled around Manhattan in the SEA Paddle as well as the Cape to Cape race from Cape Henlopen to Cape May and there is no other PFD that I trust more than my MTI.
Best inflatable belt pack life vest
I looked at all of the different fanny pack life vests and this one is the best. It's compact and doesn't get in the way when I paddle my Standup Board. (Got a new BIC board this spring - which I love!) And it's easy to repack, which you end up doing if you take a swim and need to dry everything out afterwards. If you have to use the cylinder in an emergency situation, you can buy a new one. There is also a backup oral tube for inflation. Be sure to watch the you tube video by MTI that shows how to properly insert the cylinder to arm it. You want to SQUEEZE the yellow lever when you inert it. That makes is so much easier. And turn it till it clicks. The little window will turn green. You can also remove the cylinder. I like to do that so that I don't blow it off by mistake when I'm putting my gear away. Comes with a whistle - which is good because that is required too to have by the marine patrol. So the pack comes with everything. Even a pocket to carry my keys (be sure to put in a small dry bag!) and a credit card - to buy those yummy post-paddle margaritas!
Light & Comfortable PFD for SUP!
Perfect for Stand Up Paddleboarding, SUP & sailing & all kinds of water sports. Light & comfortable yet there when you need it! I like the stream lined design & how it fits, what a great idea!
Safety and Convenience
I teach basics of SUP classes and have found that the streamlined design of the new MTI Fluid 2.0 belt pack adds tremendous comfort so I actually want to wear my PFD. Consider buying a recharge kit so you'll be ready should you need to "pull the cord".
