Rated 4 out of 5 by from Somewhat comfortable I know "somewhat comfortable" isn't a great endorsement. These shoes were super comfy when I tried them on for a few minutes in the store, but when I actually rode my bike with them on I noticed that they are very stiff around the ankle. They rubbed on my ankles almost to the point of rubbing a raw spot on each ankle. :-( The rest of the shoe is good; the toe box was comfortable and the sole was comfy enough for a little bit of walking around. I've only worn them once for a 20 mile ride. Hopefully the ankle area will soften up a bit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from comfortable cycling shoe I cycle short rides (10-12 miles) almost every day. I needed a good shoe that was good for my type of cycling and also easy to walk in. These work perfectly for me. I have a hard to fit (short and wide, high instep) foot. I was really happy with the fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love These! These shoes are fantastuc, they are incredibly comfortable and unlike almost all of the other choices out there...these are actually cute! The laces allow me to adjust wherever needed and the one thing I can honestly say is that I did not need to break them in, the were perfect from day one. I did have to go up a size so I'm glad I was able to try them on before purchasing them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shoes! Wide, light and breathable. Even after breaking little toe, can ride over 50 miles, and it won't go numb or hurt! Stiff sole helps pedaling.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from For my hike-a-biking pleasure Left a blister after first ride, hurt my feet on the second but they're broken in and good to go now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wider toe box than most My previous cycling shoes were squeezing my toes too much. I'm a big fan of the "natural foot shape" trend (Altra, for example) and really needed some cycling shoes with more room. But since Altra doesn't make cycling shoes, and those that do haven't seemed to embrace this philosophy yet, it's been a tough search. I saw these recommended on a message board of folks looking for wider toe-box cycling shoes. They were on sale here so I went for it. I'm glad I did. These are much roomier than what I had and I'm happy with them. The uppers seem a bit stiff, but I think they'll soften after more use. They are still not "natural foot shape", but I think it's the best I can find for now, and since I'm not wearing them all day, just for cycling, it will work out fine. (I have wide-ish feet to start with, and a decent bunion on one foot, making that one wider still.) Very happy to have found these!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable I wore these for the first time this morning at spinning. My old shoes were a bit too tight so these feel amazing! Good support. Can't wait to try outside.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from too big...based on earlier reviews. bought these to ride on flats and like the ability to convert to spd once I am comfortable mountain biking clipped in. However, I went up from my normal 41 to a 42 and way too big. Plus, I felt the bottoms didn't have enough grip on my flats. My old cross trainers seemed better so I am returning t hem.

Do these shoes run true to size? I wear an 8.5 or 9 in a women's athletic shoe. I need a somewhat wide toe box. What size would you recommend?

Asked by: caroli
We recommend a size 41 if you wear an 8.5. If you usually wear a size 9, you will want to purchase a size 42. These shoes do have a wider toe box.

Do these shoes come with the cleats / clips installed? I am trying to find indoor cycling shoes that already come with the clips / cleats so I don't have to install anything. If you have any other recommendations on shoes at an affordable price, lmk.

Asked by: Kambro
None of the bike shoes we sell come with cleats. Cleats come with the pedals, or you can buy them separately: https://www.rei.com/c/cycling-shoe-cleats The cleats need to match the pedals in your spin class. We recommend asking the instructor for this information.
