Your feet are embraced by joy
I have had about 5-6 pairs of various Keen sandals and sneakers so I'm generally happy with the design of the footbed and comfort of this brand. I usually wear them until they wear out! I loved these the second I tried them on in the store and now I've worn them for several long walks and I'm thrilled with how instantly comfortable they are both around the top of the shoe (no rubbing anywhere) and under my foot (great cushioning.) I wear my shoes for biking to work and lots of walking. Plus they're adorable--sporty but they'll go find with skirts, pants, shorts, etc. They feel lighter weight than previous Keens I've had, so they'll be great for travel too.
Absolutely my favorite shoes!
I discovered KEEN Rose sandals in spring of 2018 and they are the most comfortable shoe I have worn in years! Not only that, but they are cute and I often receive compliments—-a nice bonus! In fact, I have just purchased my third pair of gray ones, and I have a pair of mushroom-colored ones as well. Why three pairs of grey? Well, I wore the grey ones most of the winter because they are so comfortable and my feet tend to get hot. I bought a second pair. Then I bought a third pair to keep on hand in the event they discontinue this style. These are practical but stylish; I love them!
FANTASTIC!
Super cute, comfy and NO BLISTERS! I made the mistake of wearing these in a downpour at the hanging bridges in La Fortuna, Costa Rica, so yes my feet were freezing, BUT it gave me fantastic support on the slippery surfaces, and not one blister! I also used these to hike a small area in Quepos to see the monkeys when it was hot out and they worked great! The conditions were muddy and slippery but they really helped keep me upright. I cannot recommend these enough! Did I mention - no blisters? :) Bonus - if you have big feet like me, I wear a size 10.5, you will love the fact they stream line your foot and dare I say make it look quite dainty. :D
Love them
I've worn these almost every day since I got them, they are very comfortable and mine seem to be good quality.....unlike other reviewers who complain about the stitching falling apart, I am not having any issues. I bought them for their water shoe qualities but have not worn them in the water yet, I think they'll be great though. I've worn them to work when standing all day, and while biking around town.....and love them. they fit just like all my other keens in size 9.....they don't run small comparatively. If you're like me and wear an 8 1/2 in some brands or 9 in others, you go with 9 in keen.
Comfortable, surprisingly good hiking sandals!
I'm really lazy about leaving product reviews, but I HAVE to gush about these shoes! Without breaking them in first (a cardinal sin), I wore them daily on a week-long hiking trip, and they were amazing - gripped the rocks, quick dry, no rubbing, and incredibly comfortable. Did not notice any odor. Plus, on trails with sand or fine rocks, very little worked their way into the sandal. I can wear these when on my feet all day with no pain. Bought the Brindle/Shitake color in size 10; I wear anything from 9.5 to 11. My foot is rather narrow, but these fit with no issues. The color goes great with anything, and I love the covered toe. These are my go-to active sandals.
Quality isn't what I have come to expect from Keen
I am a huge supporter of Keens. Their sandals are typically incredibly durable and over the past 10 years and 6 pairs of sandals I have never been disappointed. In fact I still have them all and they are all still in great condition despite countless days on the river. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for these sandals. Within the first day of wearing them I noticed the velcro strap was fraying and the plastic/rubber pull tab had begun to pull away from the velcro. Now it is just hanging on by a thread. I think I could probably fix it myself, but overall these sandals do not compare in durability to the Newports I typically get. Really disappointing. The Fair rating is only due to the comfort, which is nice as always.
What happened to the high Keen quality???
I have purchased multiple pairs of Keens over the past 10 years, and have always been a huge fan. 3 pairs that are 5-7 years old are still in fantastic condition. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for these sandals. The velcro strap was horribly fraying, and pulling up from the strap. This has never happened to any of my older Keen sandals. What happened to the KEEN quality? This was so disappointing, as I really liked the style. Despite the comfort, I have to give a poor rating for the low quality. I ended up returning these to REI 6 months later.
I knew I needed theses
Every spring/summer I need a new pair of sandal type shoes that are comfortable to walk in for hours. These have not let me down. I walk ALL day for my job. I can wear these with shorts or dress them up with a skirt. I own a few pairs of Keens and have never been let down by them. They are stylish and comfy and ready to wear, no need to break them in. I've also worn these shoes to the river to take my dog swimming and have gone in the water with them. They dry quickly and still look great. As always, with Keens, order a 1/2 size up.
Really disappointed
I love Keens. I pretty much live in Keens year round - hiking shoes, hiking boots, sandals, flats, even my slippers and tennis shoes are Keens. I really wanted to love these ones too - some slightly more dressy sandals sounded perfect. I got a pair of Keen Rose sandals a couple of weeks ago. I loved how they looked, loved how they felt (very comfortable and I'm on my feet most of the day at work), just loved them in general. Unfortunately when I tried to take them off this afternoon the Velcro closure completely ripped off the strap that goes across my foot. I have a pair of Keen Newport H2s that are 5 years old and still are great. I'm really surprised and disappointed in the quality of the Keen Rose sandals. They will be going back to REI tomorrow.
cute, fits, but no support
I'd use this shoe for running around all day, but need good foot & arch support. Disappointed in this keen, like some of their other open sandal models, did not have any arch support. A few models do have it - I wish Keen would be consistent, or at least specify which shoes are really arch supporting and which are not, so I'm not paying for shipping on a product that is not suitable. If you don't need foot support, these would be great, cute shoes.
