I am a tall and thin human. My build is one less common in this country and is therefore hard to find outdoor clothing to fit. I walked into the store and tried on every lightweight jacket that was not a box shape. From Arcteryx to REI brand to Marmot, nothing fit me as well as this jacket. This jacket is a large, but is not baggy. The sleeves are long, the elastic around the waist keeps it snug, and the hood is well rounded. The waist elastic has adjustments on both sides so there is not one long tail on one side. There are no velcro flaps on the zippers to get stuck to anything. The look and design is sophisticated, subtle, and sleek. For the one shell I carry around everywhere--other than in winter--this is my companion of choice. Well done again, Kühl.

Tiny little jacket

I have bought several Kuhl items lately and have found that the shirts, jackets and just about anything that you wear "up top" are just way too small. I am a big guy, 6'3" and have a big chest and shoulders and have trouble fitting into a XXL in just about everything. Love the pants and every once in a while finding something that fits. Shame since the look is outstanding. I would recommend this to some of my smaller friends that don't eat or work out... ever.

Stylish rain ultralight rain gear

Compared this jacket to Marmot Pre-Cip, North Face Venture, Outdr.Resrch. Helium II and Patgonia Torrentshell. Kuhl is the lightest (Helium II a close second and great looking for urban wear. Only improvements would be to add pit zips, allow it to fold into one of the pockets vs. separate stuff sack and also some type of chamois or felt by the chin since it hits high on the face/neck and rubs when zipped up. It is a trim fit so if you like a lot of room or wear lots of layers underneath you may want to size up.

"Just what I was looking for"

Sizes run a tad small so instead of my usual XL I bought this jacket in an XXL size and it fits perfectly. I was looking for a very lightweight, waterproof, breathable jacket for travel overseas, a jacket that would not take up much room in my luggage but would be there when needed and this coat fit my needs perfectly. I really like the pouch that comes with the jacket and the fact that it can be rolled up into a small roll and put into the pouch.

Great Packable Jacket

I bought this jacket because my previous rain jacket rolled up into its hood but was the size of a football. It was also a little warm for summer rains. This jacket packs into its own little stuff sack about the size of a can of Fosters and I put it in my work carryall. Its great because it will fit into a cargo pocket for taking to a concert, etc... So far it has kept me dry. I bought a size bigger (XXL) because XL was definitely a tailored fit for me. (6'2" 255 lbs)

Uber light, almost rainproof

Have owned this coat for 6 months now. It's a wonderful jacket, but not perfect. The size works great for me. I am 6-3 and go 215. Fits slim, which is what I wanted. I don't layer much underneath, I use this predominantly for active pursuits where I need packability more than warmth. No problems in Costa Rica, lots of light rain and the coat kept me dry and comfortable. Light rains in Calgary/Banff and this coat was superior. Easy to carry, almost as if it wasn't there. Summers in Colorado have proven to be a bit more of a challenge for this coat, however. During a short but intense thunderstorm, my forearms got pretty damp. It's still my go-to coat, but don't replace your slicker.

Perfect light weight, waterproof jacket

I had been looking to add to my waterproof light-weight jackets that would work well in not-so-cold environments. After trying many jackets over a couple months, and doing a bunch of research, I found this Kuhl. I have other wool gear from Kuhl, and love it. This jacket is perfect for those rainy days when the temp is above 45 or 50 degrees. It could even work for colder weather since there are no vents, so your body heat stays trapped, keeping you extra warm.

Another great Kuhl product

Alright, so I might not be the most objective reviewer...I've been obsessively buying Kuhl stuff ever since they first arrived at REI. But what can I say? Great quality, stylish and great value (though a little expensive on the whole, everything I've bought from Kuhl is still in great shape despite how rough I am on it). This jacket is no different. If you're looking for a light weight, easy-to-pack rain coat look no further. You won't be disappointed.

Great jacket

This was a great purchase. It's stylish, lightweight, durable and is great in the rain and strong winds. I often work outside and have been in pouring rainstorms and it's kept me completely dry. I love the way I can roll it up in the pouch and take it where I go without a lot of extra bulk. Shortly after taking it out, the wrinkles smooth out and it looks great. I'm glad I bought this jacket and definitely recommend it to friends.

good quality but just way to short

I agree with JoeBarr. I love the quality of Kuhl products but after this have to stay away from anything other than their pants. I am 6'2 and this jacket barely gets to my waist. I know Kuhl makes these for the average person but it would be nice if they made some tall sizes in both the shirt and jackets. I think they would sale a lot more products.
