good little mat

i bought this mat because i have dry hands that wont stick very well to my regular yoga mat. i layer this one on top of the other. this mat is light weight and very sticky which is exactly why i bought it. works great for this purpose. fyi it can get slippery in a heated yoga class which is not a good thing.

I have had other, more expensive mats last me 6+ years but this one started to wear out and 'shed' pink rubber shavings all over me and my clothes after about a year. Not a fan. I prefer to invest in a higher quality mat that feels better and makes less of an impact on the environment.

No to good for hot yoga

I purchased this yoga mat for use in hot Power Yoga. While a good standard size mat, and a reasonable price (US$20), after a session of sweaty yoga, I was slipping off this mat with no traction. So if you're prone to sweaty wet yoga, then will need a thin towel on top of the mat as well. Otherwise, the mat is OK. It's not super-thick, so don't expect a plush-pile of comfort ... but then, that's probably not what you're looking for if you're doing hot yoga!

Great mat

I only wish it would fold or roll up and fit in a suitcase better. I bought it so I could take it with me for my work.

Marginally Better than Nothing

I know, I know...it's the thinnest, lightest, least expensive yoga mat here. It slides around and bunches up and provides insignificant padding.

I use the mat on top of the facility's thicker one. I prefer using my mat this way for hygienic reasons.

Good for travel

Light weight and convenient for travel, although not as "sticky" as the same brand travel mat I bought about 10 years ago (now used by my husband).

Perfect Travel Companion

I purchased this mat prior to embarking on a cross-country road trip. My plan was to participate in barre, circuit, and yoga classes in the cities where I stopped; I wanted a mat that was light, easy to carry, and comfortable. This mat met all my expectations. The Tapas Travel Yoga Mat is the perfect size for traveling. I could roll it or fold it. The grip is terrific. The first time I used it for yoga, there were imprints in the mat from my feet and hands. I was worried that the imprints would forever stay on the mat, but after a few hours, the imprints were gone. It's an impressively resilient mat! I do prefer a thicker mat for my regular practice because a thicker mat is gentler on my hands, feet, and knees when holding poses. However, for traveling, the Tapas Travel Yoga Mat is convenient. In fact, I've started using the Tapas mat for my circuit classes which don't require me to hold long poses.

The title was clever.

My new Yoga Mat is very easy to use and take on the M.B.T.A! I am so glad I bought it; as its versatile and I also needed a smaller mat; as I am short!
