WOW! LOVE THEM!
I am an adult female. I wear size 7.5 but tried the kids size 6 on. They fit perfect plus I got to pay the kids price! I tried the Ahnu on and compared fit and comfort and there was NO comparison. The Keens were WAY more comfortable and had great toe room. When you hike or your feet get hot, they swell so having that extra breathing room for your toes is great. The bungee strap allows you to tighten them and the velcro strap is very easy to loosen and tighten. They are very easy to put on and take off- unlike the Ahnus. I love these so much I bought my son a pair. We wear them all the time now. Try them on. See for yourself!

I bought this shoe 2 summers ago and couldn't wait for the next summer to get them again for both my boys. They're just as great for my 3yo as they are for my 9yo. The toddler size seems to run a little big for us, but not so big that I need to size down. We wear them every where...the pool, camping and float trips. They look great, wear well and still look good at the end of the season. And are easy for my toddler to put on himself. My preference is for the H2, with the webbed straps. This year, my husband, who never wears a sandal, wants a pair too. I love it when I find something that my kids want to wear and I want to buy for them. They're a great value.
Great shoes, NO LACES!!!
The things that sold me on this shoe were the fact it has no laces and that it has a closed back (the adult sizes do not). I bought the kids' size because they fit (and saved me mucho bucks), and had a closed back. However, I took a size smaller than the kids size I usually wear. I'm one of those people whose laces have been untied since birth, and the velcro and tightening system are great. I wore them to work today with a light sock and they were wonderful. I had them on yesterday barefoot and my feet got hot. Not a problem with the socks. I hardly know I have them on, and they are comfortable as can be!
Great for older kids
These are durable and supportive sandals. They fit my 10 yr old daughter wonderfully. She loves them for everything, bike riding, a day at the beach, etc. However, for my 6 yr old son they aren't so great. When he gets out of the pool even when we dry his feet off they are really hard to get on, I have to help and its still difficult. Secondly, he has a huge blister from wearing them at the beach. I suppose his feet got wet and then the chafing began. This didn't happen with my daughter, so I'm not sure if its just a different fit, but I'm very disappointed with this. Though happy with my daughter's.
Keen Newport H2 Sandals
These sandals held up well during a walk in shallow tide pools. They are water proof, meaning they can go in water. The feet get wet, of course, but that is the fun of going to the beach, right? After taking a long time looking at tide pools, we took the difficult way back to the parking lot that had us climb steep inclines and slowly half slide down steep slopes. I recommend these shoes as the ultimate in leisure sandals. Because the toes are protected and the heel is closed, this sandal goes where hardly any other sandal goes. When my kids outgrow these, I will buy this model again.
Kids Love Them
These run wide, and so at the store you feel like not buying them. Also at the store, the webbing seems a bit stiff, and so you feel like not buying them. But, once they've been worn for a week the webbing softens up and the kids won't take them off. The webbing doesn't dry super fast, and rocks tend to get into the shoes and then not leave. I still think they are a bit wide, but that must be partly why they are so comfortable, and they still fit better than crocs. I bought one pair for my 8 year old for beach camping. Mostly she wore them without socks, and walked about 2 miles/day for 2 weeks and got no blisters. Sometimes, I put in the thin merino wool socks if the webbing was damp, but mostly she hiked without socks. Now she wears them everywhere.
Great shoes
Loved that these shoes were large for size since I was able to buy a youth size instead of a more expensive adult size for my daughter. She loves them & her best friend got a matching pair--How could it get better?
Got Busy Kids? Got to Get Keens!
Got 3 boys 10, 6, and 4. They/I love their Keens. Super Sturdy, Easy On, Easy Go any-WEAR. Took the kids to the tide pools and my 10 year old said, "Dad these shoes are great". They were climbing, jumping and splashing all over the wet sharp rocks no slipping no cut feet or toes. I Like the extra leather heel cover on the H2. Boys can explore just about anywhere this summer in their Keens. Worth the Money and saving the co-pay for the trips the ER for cut feet and toes.
Best kid's summer activity shoe!
These shoes are the most durable pair I have ever purchased in my daughter's entire four years. They hold up to running, scraping, jumping, water, mud, EVERYTHING! Throw them in the washer and they come out looking brand new. The colors are durable and lasting. I will be purchasing a new pair of these each summer for her. They work great for playing in the yard, trips to the pool, playing in the pond, water day at school, running in the sprinklers, as well as everyday activities. They are easy for her to put on with velcro closures. They do make her feet a bit sweaty, as they are summer shoes with a rubber bottom (no soft padding or fabric bottom) and dirt does get in them resulting in dirty toenails, but that would happen with any other type of sandal as well. I highly recommend these to everyone as your go-to shoe for summer!
extremely comfortable and durable!
I am an adult with small feet. I buy the children's keen shoes, as they are made as well as the adult version for about half the price. This is the 3rd summer that I have worn my current pair of newports daily, and they show very little wear. I wear them for daily use, but also for light hiking, water sports, etc. I have foot problems, and these are often the only comfortable shoes that I can wear. I will always have at least one pair on the shelf.
