Best hat ever!

Love this hat! I'm going to buy 2 more because I know most companies are prone to "newitis" and "new and improved" with everything they make every year or 2. I have to agree with the above reviewer from Brazil; the OR logo on the front of the cap is too big. When out and about people often look at my hat and say "Or what? I usually reply "Or else!". But that is getting tiresome. Outdoor research: please continue making this hat, just make the logo a lot smaller and maybe put it off to one side? Also please make more neutral colors available. (I love '80's music but hate '80's neon colors!). Otherwise the hat is a home run. Comfort, performance and durability of this hat gets 5 stars. I'm only giving 4 stars overall because of the logo caveat.

I bought a defective one...

The bill on this hat is all out of whack. I bought it without realizing it, so whenever I wear it I look all lopsided. It is actually sewn poorly in an asymmetrical fashion so the bill is not balanced. I have tried a variety of correction measures, including bending, placing a heavy book on it, etc. Comes down to really poor quality control from OR or this one to get through to the retail floor. Very high priced for what you get, especially if it is defective. I have had it over a year, so probably no recourse with REI.

Stand-Out Trail Hat

I’ve been using these running hats for the past 3 years, and I have to say they’re a stellar hat. The hat boasts easy adjustability on the go, great ventilation for the hotter days on trail, and even sheds a surprising amount of water (relatively) during wet days. Durability seems good after many wash cycles, but I lost one hat after 2.5yrs so all I can say is that it still looked new during that time frame. I run/hike primarily in a hot environment, and I wouldn’t recommend this hat if you consistently run in colder weather (<50°F).

I wear these hats everyday

Love Swift hats and I wear them most days of the week. They're light, stylish, and functional. I've worn them to run marathons, adventures on the water, camping, casual use, pretty much anytime. My only wish is that there was a better way to secure the excess adjustment strap. My head is XL (7 1/2 hat size) and I have just enough excess strap to tuck it, but it sometimes come loose and flaps around annoyingly. Not a huge deal and probably not an issue for anyone with a smaller head. My toddler also loves this hat because it's light and comfortable for him.

Favorite hat!

this is my favorite hat! From golf to hiking, or even casual dress, it never fails to look great and provide great sun protection. I have a smaller head, and usually have to buy kids sizes. This hat fits me when cinched to the end and the extra banding tucks under the hat band out of sight. Perfect! I have it in white, which was a concern for getting dirty quickly. Not a problem at all! I just pop it into the washer with a little color safe bleach along with my other white clothes and air dry in just a few minutes and its as white as when new. I'm going to order this in multiple colors. Best hat I've ever had!!!!!!!

Love the OR caps!

This is my third cap of this type, and i love it for hiking and general use when i want to shield my eyes from the sun. It can be washed regularly and it dries quickly. Side mesh material keeps my scalp cooler than other caps.

Best cap ever!

I own six of these caps, in a variety of colors. There are more to go! They’re lightweight, comfy, light rain repellent, and they absorb a ton of sweat. I’m a head sweater, so I always wear a cap when I’m exercising hard. I run, cycle, and play court sports, both inside & outside. This cap soaks up all the sweat and keeps it out of my eyes! It’s adjustable, lightweight, and washes up like a dream. Recommend 100%!

Super light weight and form fitting!

I love this cap, they are the only ones I wear! It fits my head without any wrinkling or bunching up in the back, not to mention it's super lightweight, form fitting, and when you get caught in the rain it dries super quick. My only gripe? You need one in a brown color. I have eleven swift caps all told and only one comes close to a brown color, it's more a coral, which is now getting worn and frayed, but that one is not offered any more.

Good, but sizing changed and runs way too large

Love these, been wearing them for the past 20 years. Ordered 3 new ones to replace my abused caps, and for some reason the new version runs WAY larger than the previous one. I don't really have a small head and this new version barely holds on even if adjusted to its tightest. Never had this problem before and not sure when it changed, but that's a bummer. Not sure why it did as the previous version allowed it to size way UP by loosening the strap, but sizing way down is now impossible. See the difference in my picture where both caps (new on the left and old on the right) are sized to fit my head.
