The size is great. It's comparable to a Jan sport a little bigger in volume and length. I can fit my 17 inch laptop with no hassle. I'm 6'0 upper build, putting on and taking off is easy. The material quality is great the side of the bag that is against your back has padding. The feel is great. Can be used for school, light backpacking for a day.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great fit for me. I have been looking for an everyday pack (going to work and travel) that is a good fit for me for quite a while. I wanted a waxed canvas pack but I had trouble finding something that worked best for me. I had to return a few before I stumbled upon this one (AER, GORUCK). This pack fits my everyday needs. it has a good number of pockets, it is able to hold a lot of weight and although the size is a little bit too large for me, it does offer the ability for more if needed. The material is high quality, heavier than my other Osprey day packs, the zippers are sturdy and reliable. The fit is good but I wish that the straps were curved for comfort and better fit.
Perfect for high schoolers! Spacious, light weight and all the compartments are a big plus. Protected space for computer/tablet.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a Sportlite 15 for short day excursions, and it's perfectly sized for that. I wanted a bigger pack for travel, but since I got the Axis 24 a couple of weeks ago, I've used it daily for work. The storage is well conceived for organization and effective use of the capacity. I can carry daily essentials, including my laptop, cords, files, notebooks, water bottle, umbrella and sunscreen, and still have room for extras, such as a change of clothes. I like that I can use the side straps to secure my water bottle if my pack won't be travelling upright and that I can secure the zippers if I feel the need to make them harder to unzip. I wish it had a (removable) chest strap, but otherwise, it's ideal for my daily use, and it will be great for travel.
I really like the Axis 24L, and it almost fits my needs perfectly! Plenty of storage, sleek, nice color, sturdy design. I had planned to use this for my daily commute. But I think I need to return it, sadly--it feels a little too long for my torso. I'm 5'2" and even when I adjust the straps to carry it very high on my back, the bottom of the bag still hits my tailbone. Just wanted to share that perspective for any other smaller-framed women who may be looking at this bag!
Love this bag. Have previously put osprey bags and was delighted to find out they make reasonably priced school bags. Bought for college and even two years later looks as good as new. The material is very resilient and pretty decent when caught in the rain. Love the big pockets to fit a Nalgene. I use the top lined pocket as a pencil pouch and the other compartments hold anything else I could need. Laptop sleeve fits my large computer easily and protects it well, as I often forget it’s in there. My only complaint is that when using it for weekend trips, I need to make sure to pack out the bottom in order to use all the available space because it is a bit top heavy with the pockets. That said it’s large enough to fit school work and clothes for a weekend trip. Great blue color and blends in with the usual Patagonia and north face backpacks while still being unique.
I bought this bag looking for a good sized but inexpensive school/travel bag. I knew that Osprey made good stuff so I went with the the Axis! I am 5'10"" 140 and this pack fits very comfortably and closely even when loaded down, love all the organization and materials. Water bottle sleeves accommodate my yeti bottle well, and the large internal sleeve is great for my level iiia soft ballistic plate!
Solid bag, good for campus or travel. Back support is light and breathable making it comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I can fit about a 3-4 days trip of clothing inside along with walking shoes. Shoulders are a bit more like a regular backpack than what I am used to from Ospray hiking bags but still comfortable. Side pockets hold water bottles easily without falling out.
Bought these for my two middle schoolers to for better back support for their daily school routine. Great bags with a sleek design that can be carried tight to their backs. I appreciate the tailored design and efficient storage. Side water bottle, interior storage, cinch straps, mesh backing for hot days, etc. Great bag for school and day travel! Highly recommend!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this pack! I use it for school and the laptop (cushioned), document (not cushioned), and ipad sleeves (cushioned) are a nice separation within the main compartment. There's plenty of storage space and organizing compartments within the bag too. The water bottle holders on the side are also nice. Would recommend!
