Lacing System Broke

Have had these shoes for less than two months. Loved them until the lacing system broke this morning. The laces go through fabric string fashioned into loops, not regular eyelets in the shoe itself. The top of the fabric string popped out from one side of the shoe, so now the shoes cannot lace up. I had the Revel 6, which had regular eyelets. Please go back to that system in the next iteration and stop this insanity. I really like these shoes for the firm bottom, arch support and heel drop as they work much better for me than Ghost. But I will not buy another pair of Revel with these fabric loop things. Athletic shoes that cannot lace are useless.

A Shoe For Runners

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm sure all runners are particular when it comes to their running shoes. When I look for a new pair of shoes, I struggle with happy medium between too much cushion/lift and none at all. I think the Revel 7 shoes are my ideal cushion, which isn't a lot. They give me support but I can still "feel" the road. I've been trying to up my mileage lately, and these have given me the boost I need to log the miles. I really like the colors and fabric (purple is cool) even though I'm not supposed to pay attention to that as a runner. My only very small complaint is that the laces aren't quite long enough. I like to double knot my laces, and there isn't really enough length to do that.

Stylish and comfortable!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was shocked at how perfectly the fit and comfort was on these Revel 7s! It gave my feet enough room to spread once I was a couple miles in on a run but still felt comfortable during the warmup. The color combo of the gray and light purple is really cute in person and doesn’t show dirt very easily. The laces didn’t come untied during runs and the tongue lays comfortably on the top of my feet. I found myself gravitating towards these shoes even just for running errands. There is enough shock absorption that my ankles, knees and hips weren’t hurting. I have high arches and these shoes provided enough stability and support. My feet did not roll even on uneven terrain. Amazing product!!!

Great design, light weight, and comfortable!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the Brooks Revel 7 sneakers. They are super comfortable, light weight and are a great shoe for running, walking or just running errands. I love the colors and sleek design they don’t look like the typical Brooks I have had in the past. There is a really good amount of cushion and can’t wait to wear to Disneyland and Walt Disney World. These shoes were super easy to break in and did not blister my heals which is amazing. The materials used on the shoes are almost like a mesh and it helps to keep the shoes light weight. I have already recommended them to a couple friends.

Took some getting use to

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the style of this shoe. They are breathable and very comfortable. At first I did not like the tongue of this shoe it’s thinner than most shoes I’ve worn. It’s not bad but felt different on my feet. There is a lot of fabric towards the toe (from the tongue of the shoe) so I could feel it. The shoes are so comfortable that I was demeaned and didn’t give up. For about a week I wore them around the house and loosened the laces. After a bit I barely noticed the fabric and I’m sure wearing them cause it to flatten. Now I love them and they are in my rotation of shoes.

Best running shoe company ever!

I love everything about the Revel 7, but then I love everything about Brooks Running Shoes! I have been wearing Brooks Running Shoes since 1989. My first pair of Brooks were the original Chariots. I have been running for 35 years. Since January 1st 2012, I've run every day. I average 2500 miles and 8 to 10 pairs of running shoes, each year. So far for this year, I'm coming up on 2500 miles. I ran 3004 miles in 2023. Additionally, I just completed my 197th marathon. Along with that I have run one 100-mile mile race, five 50-mile races and nine 50K races. Every step that I've ever taken has been in Brook's running shoes. I have never had a running injury. That's unbelievable! It's all about getting the right Brooks fit! Thank you for being such an amazing running shoe company!

My new favorite shoe!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am thoroughly impressed by these shoes. They are intended to be running shoes; however, they are so comfortable that I find myself wearing them all day sometimes. While I believe the material will hold up, I try not to do that too often in the hope that I can keep them in good shape for running. I love the design, and purple is my favorite color, so that makes them even better! If you are looking for a new pair of shoes that should last a long time, I think you can stop your search. Here they are!

Want to love

I really want to love these shoes. When I first got them, they seemed to fit great upon trying them on. Had the appropriate room in the toe area and seemed to fit well. But they are too tight around the top of my foot. After wearing them for a few runs of 3-7 miles each, i have had to stop wearing them. I have loosened the laces as much as I can but they still don’t have enough room in the lace area, and I don’t have an above average foot by any means. Maybe buy a size bigger than you would to accommodate for this, I always buy bigger as I use them for running but the toe room and foot room are different in these.

Revel 5 and 6 were better

The Rebel 7’s quality has gone down from past models. I love the shape and feel of them for cardio, light lifting, and everyday wear, so this is my third pair. I’ve worn the Revel 5 and Revel 6 until they were too worn out to continue. The quality of the Revel 7 is clearly lesser than the 5 and 6. Right out of the box, you can see the glue along the edges of the shoe and there’s some stitching that’s sticking out. I still love the shoe, but Brooks, get it together.

Super Shoe

While Brooks shoes can look a bit “boaty” on the foot, these shoes feel and look so good on the foot ! The heel wraps snuggly around the back of your foot with cushiony softness and the soles of the heel can take punishment but protect your foot. The hot pink glows in the dark and is eye catching. I am on my feet a lot for a part time job, walk my 2 dogs, and take weightlifting and fight classes in these shoes and they have been able to protect my feet all day long. I had to size up a half size which makes them feel and look a bit large in the toe box . One of my feet is a half size larger than the other.
