Nearly perfect, but...

These gloves are almost exactly what I was looking for to replace a 30-year old pair of basic thinsulate medium weight gloves. The material is soft and feels great. I have no doubt they'd keep my hands warm in cold-ish weather. And they fit perfectly. Almost. But it's those "almosts" that are turning out to be a deal-breaker. The wrists have a very tight strip of what appears to be rubber with little elasticity. This makes getting the gloves on difficult, and once on, it feels like I have a tight rubber band around my wrists. I suppose this design is to prevent snow from getting in past the wrist. Maybe my wrists are larger than average, I don't know (the glove size is L), but I'd say if you don't have slender wrists, these gloves are not going to be comfortable for you.
