As a very heavy beginning runner I absolutely love the Hyperion Max 3. They fit true to size for me, and I loved the snug sock-like fit that gave such a great heel lockdown for me. They felt stable, protective, and well cushioned without feeling too mushy at slow paces. At faster paces the nylon plate and rocker really made it come alive. I'm a VERY slow runner but first time I ran in these I broke every PB within my 4.5 mile run. Only negative thing I can say is that although I really liked the laces, I wish they were longer to accommodate the higher volume of my feet. One last thing, maybe it's because I'm heavier runner but they did not feel heavy to me as I've heard and read in many reviews, they felt just perfect.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fit of the shoe was nice and snug. The size 14 fit perfectly. The feel of the shoe felt well balanced and comfortable. The design of the shoe was unique, innovative, and provided great support when walking and running. The fabric was thin, lightweight, and breathable while exercising. I liked the feel and the texture of the fabric. I really enjoyed the form and function of the rubber sole as it provided a smooth transition of balance when both walking and running. It alleviated any pressure from the front of the foot compared to traditional shoes. I would change the tongue of the shoe to be a little more sturdy when placing the foot in the shoe. It tended to crumple and bend often which required some time adjusting.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband was the lucky one to test these out. He didn't tell me that he would be using these with his insoles so I ordered his normal size 11. He still did try them on without the insoles in and the uppers were so tight that they were crushing his toes at the front. I ended up using the ice trick and they're now the perfect fit, so the material does have some give. He runs relatively short distances as a part of his regular cardio and likes these shoes a lot better than any of his other running shoes so far: Asics and New Balance of various models. It's been getting warmer here and he hasn't mentioned being too warm or sweating noticably. He also loves the super bright orange - it is BRIGHT! My husband usually gets arch pain on his left foot but hasn't had that when running in these shoes.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes met most of my expectations for a comfortable and supportive running shoe. The cushioning and support was amazing, but I feel like it could have slight more cushion given its name of “Hyperion Max” - I almost expected absolute maximum cushioning. The only thing I would change is the amount of space in the toe box. The fabric often rubbed against my toenails and made it a little uncomfortable toward the end of my run. The design was very modern and had a safe and reflective color that made me feel secure running during the day and night. Additionally, the color helped me keep track of where I would step if it was dark outside. The knit fabric kept my feet snuggly in place and allowed for some breathability. The mesh also offered enough breathability to help make my run more comfortable.
These are not my first brooks and they won’t be my last!I will start off by saying the Shoe runs narrow and snug for me and I had to send back the first pair and go 1/2 size bigger . (I got the first blister ever on my heel running after 17 yrs.) I do have slightly wider feet but My previous pair of Hyperion max 2 was a Perfect fit in the toe box , overall width and length .(I also miss the comfortable tongue plus the lock down from saw tooth laces ) Now for the good stuff ! Love the energy return underfoot even for slower easy runs and picking up the pace the shoe responds very nicely .Feet definitely feel fresher after longer runs of 10+miles AND the next day . I don’t mind the higher stack (if you are running in relatively straighter lines) …but don’t expect to take tight turns at faster paces , the lack of lateral stability will definitely be noticeable. I’ll be using as daily trainers . More colors please !
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Im really loving the Hyperion Max 3 sneakers by Brooks. My feet feel great during and after my daily run and they have just the right amount of cushion. My new go-to running sneaker. Plus, I love the bright color — perfect for summer and my night runs.
Love these shoes, perfect blend of comfort and speed. Comfortable to run a Marathon yet are fast enough for a Half PR or 5K. The cushion and the stack are perfect. Versatility meets function, homerun for Brooks.
Did my first run in these today in light rain. It was faster paced threshold run zone 4. Shoes worked out great and highly recommend them. These shoes felt comfortable at speed and fit very well. I would say traction is good and a great shoe for interval training and higher paced runs at least for me. They feel awkward at slower pace or just starting out the run working up. For my slower paced recovery and distance runs I will use the Glycerin 22s. For my 5k/10k shoes the Hyperion Elite 5. Overall great to have in a rotation for what your training for.
So close to being an excellent running shoe. I loved the cushioned gusseted tongue, airy upper, and great fit. True to size. The cushioning and responsiveness of the midsole was excellent, but theres a catch. For some reason during the landing and turnover, the shoe would force my foot to excessivly roll inward to push off only my big toe (which started to become uncomfortable). I’m not sure if its with the geometry, but its very noticable. With the shoe forcing excessive pronation, I cannot recommend this shoe unless you try it out for yourself.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you're looking for a running/sports shoe that not only feels comfortable but provides great support. Look no further! These have great quality memory foam that molds perfectly to the foot. The little dip of the outer part of the foot is great for allowing space for normal swelling from long distance running. Even then, the swelling is very minimal since the material of the show is stretchy and breathable. The mesh us perfect and not flimsy. Im very impressed and will definitely be checking out more styles from the brand.
