Done with Merrell
why there is no ZERO star? slippery on wet surface. After 5 uses, inner fabric is worn out blistering my skin. I regret being a Merrell client for years after experiencing the mediocar customer service and the deteriorated product quality
MOAB Adventure 3. FAIL
Counter lining lacks finger hook to assist donning shoe. Either Upper or tongue is way too narrow, as it is impossible to obtain full closure of the areas, permitting debris and liquid to enter. Laces are insufficient in length to insure secure lock of my foot in the shoe. Break-in was longer than anticipated, but this is not necessarily indicative of defective product as were my earlier three comments. I have been wearing US size 9 Merrell products for the past 29 years. Frankly it appears your firm has elected to sacrifice quality in production in favor of increased line items.
Uncomfortable
I bought a couple pairs of these around 2016 and they were the best shoes I’ve ever owned. Just got a new pair recently, and the quality has taken a serious nosedive. There’s a tragic design flaw in the tongue. The stitching on the inside/backside of the tongue is so prominent that it constantly pokes into the tops of my feet. I can loosen the laces to compensate for the puffiness of the tongue + the bunched up stitching, but then the shoes become too loose. Would not purchase another pair, and may never buy another Merrell product again. For this kind of money, I expect much better.
We'd love the opportunity to look into this and help at 800-288-3124 or live chat at Merrell.com
Excellent Shoes and Will Buy Another Pair
I bought these shoes over a year ago and couldn't be happier. They fit perfectly and feel great. They've worn well and still look good. I think the difference between my experience is that I purchased them at a store where I could check sizes and fit to make sure they are exactly right for my feet. I didn't deal with FedEx, as I never buy shoes on the internet. I'm asking my family for a gift card for Christmas so I can buy another pair.
Tongue is a massive pillow you could sleep on
Nice shoe but the top of tongue is a massive pillow sticking out of shoe tugging on your hiking pants. Merrell makes good looking shoes but always messes up the basics; thus, I always return them. This time I kept them, but I had to cut the tongue way down and re-sew them. I wish the original tongue was low profile, uncushioned, and flat, not an over-stuffed, high reaching tongue. Merrell, do you even wear the shoes you make?
Comfy, functional, and stylish!
I love these shoes! They look good enough to wear in office meetings, and are tough enough for digging holes. I love the wide fit, which is why I choose Merrell. They really are water proof while not being too hot. I haven't had them very long and have already put them through some tough, wet use. After cleaning the mud off and drying them they still look great. Thank you Merrell!
Thank you for sharing your awesome review, Nathan!
Great Outdoor Work Shoe
The Moab Adventure 3 waterproof shoes have been fantastic for my job, which often involves hiking through wet areas. They withstand the demands of my work admirably and typically last an entire season before I decide to replace them. They're easy to clean when they get dirty and dry quickly, ensuring they're ready for the next workday.
Thank you for your glowing review!
"A Great Find"
I purchased these for my husband who loves them! They required no break-in time, he says they are very comfortable, keep his feet completely dry, and he likes how they look. We do a lot of hiking/walking with our dog. It's often early morning when the grass is still wet. These wonderful shoes do the trick!!
Great for casual wear and light hiking.
I love the looks and they feel good on my feet during casual wear. When I lace up tighter for hiking, however, the uppers don't have much give and do put pressure in places on the sides of my feet. So I like the shoes for casual wear and light hiking, but not for serious hiking.
Don’t buy. I took the shoes to the trash
The shoe tongue connection to shoe is very uncomfortable. Unfortunately the shoes have to be worn a couple of days and thus not returnable. I threw the shoes away like the last pair I ordered. I have worn Merrill for years, but something has changed.
