Great idea, poorly executed
Bought these for a backcountry camping trip that required a lot of in and out of water. Unfortunately, the strap broke within the first week of wear.
All nurses need these
Completely overwhelmed by how many shoes do NOT provide me with 12 hrs of comfort, my bar was very low for these shoes; however, after wearing them for over a week for my long nursing shifts, I can say my back no longer aches, and my feet are completely rested when taking off my shoes after a long day. I cannot wait for more color options to come out as I will be buying more and wearing only these for my shifts at the hospital!
Cute but smaller than normal Birks
I do not normally write reviews but I am confused about these shoes... I just opened these up. But before opening them I thought the box must be empty because they are so lightweight. (YAY!) I ordered the eggshell because the other REI color options (black and army green) felt too dreary. I wish the blue color had been available. I am not sure how I feel about the eggshell- the shoes seem to be staticky and I am worried about how much dust and dirt might end up sticking to my white shoes. Additionally, I am a long time Birk wearer and I've always been a 38EU in all their styles but these feel slightly shorter than normal.... AND I had to check to see if they were narrows instead of Birks regular(wide). They are not marked as narrow on the box and it looks like Birkenstock only makes them in regular (wide). This is all to say, I am torn about keeping these shoes.... maybe I need to go up a size.... maybe I need a less static attracting shoe? That said, They are uber adorable- they look like twee Elfin shoes made of marshmallow.
