Love this running shoe! Ultra light and extremely comfortable, wear to work, keep on for work out. Like the feel on pavement as well as support on trail, perfect for outdoor runs o and gym. Great style and true to size. I would recommend.
I've had two lovely runs and one walk in these shoes and they have worked quite well for my feet. I realize running shoes are a very personal thing and so definitely recommend trying them on in a store to make sure they work well for your own foot, but they work for my long narrow low volume feet. The first thing I noticed upon putting them on is there is an incredible amount of rocker. Granted, I have mainly run in trail runners before, so this may just be a road running shoe thing, but surely some will love it and some might not. Also, plenty of cushioning, I think I'm growing almost two inches taller when I put these on. I really like the loop on the heel and on the front for pulling the shoe on and off my foot and they feel incredibly lightweight, like wearing clouds. The grip on the sole is great, I wore them on a muddy side path running through a city park and felt totally secure. In terms of fashion, my husband said "those shoes are so ugly" and my mother-in-law said "those shoes are so cute" so, um, beauty is in the eye of the beholder? Either way, I'm planning on taking these for plenty more runs for the rest of the summer, for me they are a keeper!
These Saucony running shoes are a unique blend of lightness and bulk. It has the standard visibly sturdy design that I expect from Saucony and in this pair you can even feel the bulk even though they are quite lightweight. The cushioning is think and provided good shock absorption on the first few jogs so far. The extra cushioning around the back of the heal is also nice. The upper part of the shoe is very breathable even if the tongue is a little thin. Although I wouldn't recommending getting the white if you want to be out on the dirt (but I suppose they are called to the ROAD-running shoes).
I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. I was honestly surprised by how much I like these shoes. I am usually very loyal to a different brand, and I have been nervous about trying new shoes since I am returning to running after injury. However, I've worn the Guide 18's for 4 x 3 mile runs so far and they have given me the cushioning and support I need. I have them in white, which means they get dirty pretty quickly. I took off one star because they actually destabilize me during some of the physical therapy exercises I'm supposed to perform before and after runs. It's likely that the high amount of cushioning is throwing off my already-troubled balance. Overall, I do think they are a solid investment. I am lucky enough that my feet fit standard sizes of shoes quite well and I do not need extra-wide, extra-narrow, or other specialized sizing.
I looked like an escapee from Shady Maple nursing home. The new sole has no defining shape, it’s just a blob of foam. I’ve worn this model for years, and with each new pair I slip into its comfort right away. Not this time. The arch feels moved back ever so slightly, but enough that pressure is applied to my heel. The added foam tread in the bottom seems like an effort to look like sketchers. I’ve only put in a few days and will continue to give it more time, but hate to waste the money if they prove to stay uncomfortable.
Absolutely love this shoe for running distance and interval running. Ive struggled with chronic shin splints due to overpronation and running two days in a row has been impossible due to the pain I was experiencing in my shins. Have changed nothing in my routine but am wearing these shoes and have ran 4 days in a row with normal leg soreness in-between. The colors are also so cute! Loved them so much i bought a second pair. 4/5 stars because size 9.5 usually firs perfect for me but in these I had to go up to a 10.
This is my first pair of proper running shoes and I love them so far! Used to run in some old Asics I got on clearance, but now that I’m getting into running more consistently I bought these. I have very flat feet and collapsed arches, and these were recommended for me because of their supportive centre path tech. The first 5k i ran in these I got nasty blisters on the insides of the my feet where my arch was being held up. If this is the case for you, don’t give up on these shoes yet. I wish I had broken them in more slowly but they are super comfortable now. Ran my first 10K in these shoes, something I never thought I’d be able to do after having some pretty nasty shin splints and knee pain from playing soccer my whole life. I totally recommend these to any fellow flat footed runner, especially if you’re just starting out. I’ve taken them on trails, pavement, track, and they feel fantastic.
Thank you for your feedback! We're happy you love them!
I Iove these shoes. I previously ran in Hoka Bondi 9 but I would get such horrible blisters. These shoes give me all the same cushion but without the blisters. Really light, great option for marathon training I’d say. One caveat- after about 2-3 runs the exterior label on the shoe started to peel off. Still giving 5 stars because they are functionally a great shoe.
These are a solid well-made pair of sneakers. They are a little more stabilizing than I typically like with my runners, so I limited myself to walking in them, and they worked just fine for that purpose. Cushioning is good and there's plenty of room for longer periods of being upright.
I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. We’re comfortable coming out of the box, with excellent cushion. Maybe it was more than needed.
