This is the first pair of Saucony’s I’ve worn and I can say they won’t be my last. The shoes are very light and I could wear them all day. When running, I heel strike first. The cushioning in this shoe is amazing. It was like running on a cloud and with some bounce to keep going! There is also enough support throughout the shoe that my flat feet did not feel sore or fatigued after my run. The only minus was the toe box. It seems a little narrow and when running there was not enough room for toe splay. They did loosen up with a few more runs, but these are not shoes I could wear directly out of the box. Break-in time was definitely needed. After about three more wears they fit perfectly. The material on the shoes are soft and breathable. No sweaty feet and no awkward seams running across to irritate my foot. Overall these shoes will be my number one running shoe for long runs on the pavement and roadway. I usually don’t pick running shoes for the aesthetics, but I got many compliments on the color scheme!
I bought these about 2.5 months ago and switch between a variety for my runs throughout the week, so they have about 100 miles on them and I tend to wear them on 3-7 mile daily runs. At this point I have decided I liked the Ride 17 better, though they’re comparable in running feel. These continue to have the gusseted tongue that holds it in place nicely. I think the lacing system was an improvement, they don’t loosen nearly as much as the 17s when I’m tying them. Through the arch, I don’t think they sit as tight to the foot as the previous version, which I preferred. The heel upper is thicker with cushioning and so is the tongue, which isn’t my favorite but isn’t the worst. It still sits in the same spot on the foot and doesn’t bother me. My main complaint with these is honestly that they changed the mesh upper in the toe box. I really liked the mesh on the 17s, it held up for 400 miles. One of mine already has a hole in the toe box because this mesh is more flexible and not as sturdy. It might be more breathable or something, but it gives a much looser feel to the toe box, I liked the security and resistance of the previous version. The overall feel is more plush and loose in the upper, though the bottom feels the same. If you haven’t worn a previous version, these are a shoe with good mid-firm cushioning that gives a gentle footfall but doesn’t feel too soft and squishy like the more pillowy shoes. They have a wide base for stability and the wide toe box typical of Saucony without the rest of the shoe being wider.
Prior to putting these shoes on, they felt very light and looked like they had lots of cushion. They felt very comfortable on. They provided lots of support in my sole and heel. When I walked around in them, I felt very light and airy. Since they are a light colored shoe, I opted to save them for treadmill running. If I wear these outside, they are going to get visibly dirty right away. Overall, the shoe felt great when running. I didn't have any unusual pain after my run. I did notice that my socks started riding down a bit but that could just be the socks that I was wearing.
Really bummed— I love saucony shoes especially the ride ones. The Ride 18 seems to have some quality control issues or a bad design altogether. I have had these for maybe 2 months and only have worn them for walking since I haven’t been running recently. There are multiple rips and holes simply from walks around the neighborhood. Upset that they cost so much for this quality and haven’t held up like past saucony ride shoes .

I normally run in a different brand but tried out these Saucony's and have been very pleased. Intermediate runner running ~15-20 miles a week on road. Over pronator also. These Saucony's have been very comfortable and lightweight with tons of room in the toe box. Normally I go up 1.5 shoe sizes for my running shoes but these I only went up 1 whole size from my normal shoe size and they fit perfectly. I feel very supported in these from my arch to my knees. Laces are just the right length - they don't hang over too far that I worry about stepping on them. Outside of running, these are very hip looking shoes. I have the off white+gold and they look fantastic with athleisure.
My full disclosure here is that I received these shoes for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. I'm not sure I would have ever picked these shoes out of a lineup based on the look- I tend to choose lower volume soles for running in general, but I was so pleased when I put these on with the overall aesthetic, including the color. I got the Vanilla, which was a tiny bit terrifying for living and walking around in the northwest with all the wintertime mud but they are still looking great after several walks and runs in the rain. So let me tell you why these runners are really impressive- these babys are *comfortable* and I mean it. I have high arches and toe issues so I require a wide toe box and maximum wearability for 5-10mi walks/runs. These babys exceeded my expectations, to be honest. The heel cup kept my heel firmly in place for both walking/running. The toe box is roomy enough for me but the shoes don't have the boxy toe look like other runners/trainers sometimes do. The insoles and thicker soles themselves make it feel like you're walking on clouds. Where I feel like these really shine is on the trail- the runs I've taken with these have kept my feet from hurting at all afterwards- typically my feet or toes hurt for at least an hour or two after a 5+ mile run. I have yet to experience post-run pain with these shoes and I can't explain it beyond just the extra support from impact that these seem to give my feet. Ultimately, even if these ended up muddied entirely after a very wet run at some point I'd still wear them because of the lack of discomfort that I have had with these compared to my other running shoes. Alternatively I have been wearing these for gym workouts as well when I don't have time to change. While they have more volume than I'm used to for weightlifting(and the fact that this is not their intended use), they are so comfortable that I don't mind. Overall look is great, overall comfort is unparalleled for me, and they are flexible wear for many activities. Great shoes in my opinion, I will continue to seek out this style in the future for sure.
I bought a pair of these shoes in early May within two weeks and not even 30 miles on them both side sides of my shoes had holes in them
These shoes have weird little bumps on the bottom part of the shoe that Saucony refused to exchange. They are too squishy.
We appreciate your feedback!
These are great shoes. Lightweight, breathable, yet sturdy. The design and color are gorgeous, as well. The shoes provided great support while running, felt lightweight, and gripped the road well. However, shoes are definitely not meant for someone with a wide foot. I have a wide foot, and these were quite snug on my foot, to the point I won’t be running in them every day, but will be fine to wear them casually for a few hours at a time. I wouldn’t say they are “narrow” by any means, more like a “typical” or “normal” fit.
I bought them a month ago and the mesh on the toes ripped. Now there is a huge hole. I wear running socks, had my foot scanned and fitted for them and I only run on a treadmill. This shouldn’t have happened to a pair of sneakers like this.
