Lightweight simple top
I think this would be a great top for summer river trips, exposed hikes (to protect from sun and bugs) and camping/backpacking. I liked how lightweight and packable it was. Color was a lovely light blue/green. Not quite my style, but very sporty and clean looking. Pros - Lightweight - Packs into its own pocket Cons - Fit is a little weird, but could be personal preference - too short and sleeves sit in a weird spot
Super Lightweight Shirt
This long sleeve shirt is super lightweight. I think it will be perfect for sun protection on hot summer days to come. The mint color looks flattering on me. The material is stretchy, which was great when I wore it to yoga class. However, the shirt sleeves are too short for me. I went a size up to a large knowing that I like a loose fit. Any arm movement and it becomes a ¾ length sleeve. The same goes for the overall length of the shirt. It is more of a crop fit on me. I wear a tight-fitting tank underneath, and it looks fine. I would be too self-conscious to wear it without a tank underneath. The shirt also wrinkles easily.
Solid sun shirt
I like this sun shirt more than I thought I would! It's loose around the body and sleeves so it's perfect to protect from the sun on hot days but won't stick to you. It's incredibly lightweight and it almost feels like you're wearing nothing! I appreciate that the sleeves cinch at the wrists but loose enough to easily go over my watch. The half zip makes it easy to take on and off - another plus when you're sticky and sweaty. While the proportions of the shirt fit me fine, I can see how it wouldn't be as versatile for taller and longer-limbed folks. I'm 5'3" with short arms and the sleeves were just barely long for me. It feels a little cropped, i.e. when I raise my arms it shows my belly - so I imagine on taller people, it will be quite cropped. Overall, I like it enough to add to my rotation - especially as an overshirt over tank tops or sports bras - but I don't know that it will replace my other Patagonia sun shirts.
perfect sun shirt
I had been on the hunt for a versatile and attractive sun protective shirt and this is the perfect one. The fabric is amazing, almost like a soft windbreaker. Lightweight and seems durable. Best of all doesn't seem to wrinkle. I got the light green color which is beautiful. The fit is great. Not too tight or too loose. I love the slightly cropped length and it has an elastic band around the bottom to hold it in place without being constricting. I live in southern California and this is a shirt I could wear year round. So far I have worn it hiking and to the beach and has been comfortable and breathable.
Lightweight, comfortable and breathable.
I really like this shirt, it's super comfortable, a great length for someone who is tall (I'm 5'10") and a nice layering option. I was able to play tennis in it comfortably and think it will be a great option for keeping the sun off me even in the warmer months of the year.
New favorite sunshirt!
This is, by far, my favorite sun shirt (and I've tried many)! It helped keep me cool during a 100 mile race in Florida, so it can definitely handle heat and humidity. The fabric is extremely light weight, but it also is a bit delicate, so keep that in mind when choosing what type of adventure to use it for (wasn't an issue for "just" running, but it might not do as well with a fully loaded pack on top). The main reason I bought this one was because of the zip and no hood. Hoods are always awkward on me (and don't do great with my long ponytail), and I loved that I could adjust the zipper if the neck started to feel claustrophobic.
Like the fit, but would love a little more length.
I like the quality of the shirt a lot, but it’s a tad short for my liking. The fit is otherwise good and comfortable. Fit well on a very recent post partum body. It was great for running in early spring as it added warmth without adding too much heat. Would be great for hiking as well as it’s breathable.
Has some plus and minuses but part of the quiver now
+ Color is super pretty + material is really lightweight, good for long days in the sun and stretchy enough for climbing. +/- For me the length is good, hits in a flattering spot above my hip bones, unless I'm wearing a harness or even with backpack or bouldering pads strapped around my waist, in which it becomes kinda annoying because it's a bit short and rides up, and gets all bunchy. It was more annoying with the harness while trad multipitching, because it was kinda billowy and bunchy right by the gear loops and would mess with my trad rack. - the seam lines on the arms are kinda weird and a little uncomfortable/scratchy. i wish it felt smoother on the inside. It also runs down the middle of the inside arm, rather than on the outside arm edge. Anyway YMMV, but I'll continue to wear this for bouldering or cragging days but not multipitch days
Perfect Sun Top!
This was awesome for walking and hiking in dry heat. I felt like it was an upgraded sun shirt since it is breathable and has a more modern fit (hits at top of hip). The sleeve and waist hems flare out just enough so they don't cling or stick, but they also don't make the garment look voluminous. The sleeves are on the shorter side, but that's expected in a top like this that you don't want covering your hands. I hiked in hot conditions and was very comfortable. This is a much more breathable and trendy top than any other sun shirt I've owned.
Love the fabric, but the cut is not for me.
Nice, light fabric helped keep me cool on humid hikes. I didn't sunburn through the fabric at all. However, the cut just didn't work for me. I don't have a long torso, but this barely covered me. It fit more like a crop top, making it difficult to be my only top. Wearing another shirt under this defeats the point of the wicking fabric.
