Good field skirt
I like this so far. I have the black size medium (I am 5' tall and don't like tight fitting skirts.) Good skirt for hiking, off trail scrambling, quick-drying nylon that seems to handle brushy vegetation well. 4 stars because it is a little noisy (swishy sounds). Pockets are good and deep, can hold cell phone but not my field notebook. None of my nylon "field skirts have back pockets and I am not sure why. These pockets sit more on the sides of the skirt than totally in front. I got it on sale and would probably not pay the original price. Hope more reviews come in, because there were none when I purchased it from REI.
Amazing on the trails!
I purchased this skirt in black and it worked amazing on the trails under multi weather conditions. It stood against the rain on the trail and wind at the summit, and keep me cool enough in the upper 87s in the sun. I was able to comfortably store my phone and other essentials like my buff etc. in the deep pockets on both sides. I love it so much that I’m packing it for my 8-day Kilimanjaro climb this June. I opted to wear seamless shorts when it was warmer and a wool pant base layer under when it was cooler outside since my thighs rub, and I was pleased with the versatility. I’d even consider using chaffing cream and no under layer. All the ladies in our hike group expressed how much they liked it. The product truly speaks for itself. Nice job!
Great in the city!
Purchased this skirt in white for a 90s street vibe in the heat of a NYC summer! It's fantastic. High-quality, opaque fabric. For a slightly looser fit, consider sizing up; the interior drawcord allows for adjustments. Looking forward to traveling with this one, too.
Perfect skirt for traveling
I think I may have found my newest travel skirt! It is a comfortable fit and falls below my knees so that I am properly covered to enter churches, temples and other sacred areas. It’s easy to dress up with tights or leggings or simply wear as-is. I just received it and have not had the opportunity to go hiking with it yet, but I’m looking forward to it!
