Not worth the price!

The elastic waist band doesn’t work, there is no drawstring near your face to pull the sides of the hood tighter so no wind gets through, the fabric is cheap, the pockets are inadequate/poorly placed and its NOT GORTEX WATERPROOF -despite being confused by the description and then proceeding to verify with REI customer service that it was. Charging $400 for a water resistant jacket blows my mind. It’s not designed for “alpine” conditions as it’s marketing itself whatsoever. You are really just buying the brand name but you are better off buying a discounted jacket off the sale rack from Rei, North face , Patagonia etc… This is a good jacket if you are wealthy and just want a nice fit to walk in the spring time but definetily not alpine intense weather condition ready whatsoever. All in all not worth it!
