Great light pullover
This light jacket is awesome. I wear it on walks and have worn it to hike and it has been perfect. It’s lightweight and breathable but still offers some protection for when it gets chilly or there’s some wind. The hood is roomy enough to wear over a hat and I like the length of the zippered portion so I can have more or less airflow when I want. The length is great as well, it hits right at the hip. Sleeves are long enough too (I have problems finding sleeves that are long enough for my arms) and these fit perfectly. The zippered pocket holds my phone and keys so I don’t always need a bag, which is really nice for when I go on walks. Overall, it’s comfortable and looks good!
Lightweight Pullover
This is a lightweight pullover that is small and easy to throw in a bag to pull out if it gets a little chilly on a hike or you need some extra sun protection. I love that it has a large pocket on the right side, though it would have been nice to have a pocket on the left too. The vent in the back is also a useful feature, though I’ve only used it in lightly drizzly weather so far. My favorite feature is the large hood that has enough room for ladies with a lot of hair or who want to wear a ponytail. While the fabric is really smooth and comfortable, my only complaint (and maybe it’s just me) is that it’s quick to smell a little sweaty. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.
Lightweight running cover
This cover shell is very lightweight. It’s packable to a point; there are a few places where there is a stiff plastic piece in the hem of the hood to keep its shape, so those can’t be folded. I do appreciate the plastic piece though; it helps keep the hood in a good position on your head. The cuff of the sleeves is narrow, which makes it hard to roll sleeves up, but while running, it keeps them in place. There is 1 single pocket one the right side; I would have appreciated symmetrical pockets or even a kangaroo pocket to keep the jacket centered when items are in the pocket. As a sun shade, I would not choose black; however it does look nice. The back vents are helpful and add a fun detail.
See through
I’m a big fan of having a white or grey sun hoodie to block UV rays while climbing. Unfortunately- and in quite frustrating fashion- this white material is rather see through, so whatever layer you’re wearing beneath it will show through. This has always been a pet peeve of mine and in the photos of the model on the website, she must be wearing a white long sleeve beneath the sima so you can’t tell. I wish the photos had shown this before I bought it. The material itself seems very nice and I like the fit and the way the fabric feels against my skin. If you don’t care that the arctic material shows what’s underneath then you should get one. Otherwise I’d recommend blue or black.
Hi there, thanks so much for sharing your feedback on the Sima Pullover. We’re sorry to hear that the sheerness of the Diem polyester fabric in the Arctic Silk colourway didn’t meet your expectations. It’s designed to be ultralight and breathable, while still offering UPF 40+ sun protection. That said, we really appreciate your insights and will be sure to pass them along to our team.
Great pullover
Nice jacket. It is kinda like atom SL jacket but without the insulation. It is well made material. The back opening keeps me cool in the sun, It doesn’t feel being too hot at all since it is a thin, very light jacket. And it surely protecting me from the sun being outside for a long periods of time. For the size : I usually wear size XS, but purchased size small to give myself some extra room, I like iit how it fits. When I put on the hoodie, It seems fits well too. don’t think it is too big on me either. So I like it very much. Small size is perfect for me. I purchased the white color. It is a very pretty white. I got some compliments for this pretty jacket. it is surly a little see through white. I can see some of my shirt’s color underneath of the pullover. . To me, it is fine. But I think the other color will be less likely to see through that much. But I still love this white pullover.
Great lightweight layer
Perfect outer layer for running on chilly, windy days. Wore it during light rain and repelled moisture well. Fit is slightly loose and hood seems like it’s meant to fit over a helmet. The small side zip pocket is great for storing keys or other small items.
The perfect hiking layer
I have been using this on my Summer hikes and gravel rides. It is lightweight, has UV protection, vents along the back and a side zip pocket which fits my phone. I wear it either by itself or overtop of a shirt.
Go everywhere layer
I love this piece. It is buttery soft, lightweight and super packable. I have been using it as a sun shirt during hot days and I still stay cool. I have used it as a light wind protector layer when a slight chill comes up and it also fits that need. Not waterproof but water resistant enough to keep me dry from a small rain storm. Love the style as well!
Great Lightweight Breathable Layer
I bought this pullover in a large to wear for when I'm starting out on a hike/bike ride and just need that extra layer of protection on cooler days until I warm up (or to save me from mosquitos). I got it in Black, but the Electra colour is amazing (it was sold out at the time of purchase). The fabric feels super nice against the skin, better than say the Squamish Hoody for example (too rough/sticks once you sweat) or the Atom SL (too sticky once you're sweaty). I wore it last night on a bike ride (6 degrees and sunny) and even though I warmed up, I kept it on and it wasn't unbearable and protected against the wind on the downhill. I sized up from my usual medium to a large just to give myself more space to move but I definitely could have gotten away with a medium. Overall this will be a key spring/summer/fall piece for active pursuits with the added bonus of UPF protection which wasn't a selling point for me but always good to have.
Packable, lightweight sun protection
Packs up into a convenient pocket for hikes and provides a perfect amount of sun protection. I live in an area where it gets in the 90s and 100s regularly in summer and this helped keep me cool / un-sunburnt. I wear it a lot and there is some polling around the places where my backpack touches, but it hasn’t compromised the functionality at all.
