Disappointed in fit and feel

I was so excited about the new Glycerin Max. I have been wearing Brooks for years. Current rotation includes 2 pairs of Hyperion Max, a pair of Hyperion Elite and Topo Ulterra for trail. The positive for these is that they look great. I wanted to love them and couldn’t wait to run in them. I wore them for a total of 12 miles. Two runs, a 4 mile and 8 mile. They didn’t feel good almost from the start. I thought maybe I needed to get used to the springiness. I felt like my foot sloshed around. I got blisters at mile 5 on the 8 mile run. I can’t wear them for running. I have never done a negative review but wanted to share my experience.

BEST SHOE IVE EVER PURCHASED

I was recommended these by my mentor as a daily trainer to prepare me for my half marathon and OMG I absolutely love these. I was previously running in the Ghost but these… are next level. It feels like im walking on clouds. They are lightweight, breathable and durable. I tried on over a dozen of shoes looking for something similar to have as an alternate and theres NOTHING like these on the market. I wear these for ALL my runs. I highly recommend. (For context I suffer from low arches w/ overpronation so I wear high arch support orthotics with these since these are a neutral shoe and they are game changer! I sized up a half size and they are perfect)

Disappointed—Didn’t Hold Up for My Half Marathon

I specifically bought these shoes for my half marathon and was really disappointed with how they performed. I did a few short runs in them beforehand to break them in, and everything seemed fine. But on race day, they just didn’t hold up. The cushioning started to fall apart, and I noticed the material flaking—almost like the paint or coating was chipping off. I only wore them a handful of times before the big day, so I expected much better durability. Unfortunately, they let me down when it mattered most. I should’ve stuck with the regular pair I normally wear. Lesson learned.

Best new shoes for running

Currently working as a podiatrist and I cannot recommend these higher for running. I started running in these and they are instantly cushioned and reduce pain with and after exercise for me personally

I really wanted to love these, but they gave me the worst arch blisters I've ever had in my life. I couldn't run for over a week after wearing these on an 8-mile jog. They have a bucket-seat like insole that causes a lot of friction on your arch. I wore double layered socks and used foot glide and tried again 2 weeks later. They still caused blisters. Very disappointed, because otherwise, these shoes felt absolutely incredible. They are so squishy, you will not feel a single rock or crack you run over. It absorbs all the unevenness of the ground. I really hope they fix the arch issues for next years models. They are unbelievably soft.

Different, but good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fit of these shoes are good. I like wide shoes and these feel kind of wide. There is a lot of cushioning and are very comfortable. The shape of the sole is different than other sneakers. The front of the shoe has a curve to it so it’s kind of like a rocking chair for my feet. The sole is thick and it makes me taller, which I like. The shoe laces are at an angle so it’s unlike traditional shoes. The fabric is breathable. I like how these are not like other sneakers. The only thing I would change is the color, but other than that I like these shoes.

After a 100+ Miles I’ll Say It’s My New Go To Shoe

I am a large guy and this is the best running shoe I have ever owned. The cushioning support for long runs is so refreshing. I am able to run longer and feel less fatigued when doing so. I will definitely be buying more can’t wait to see some better colors in the men’s.

Glycerin Max, Just didn't work for me.

Midsole is comfortable and shoe seems durable. I really wanted this shoe to work, however unfortunately it caused blisters on the ball of my big toe. I tried several lacing and socks, but seems where insole starts to curve for arch is right where this kept happening. I am so glad Brooks stands behind their products, since I love their stuff, and never had this issue before. Thanks Brooks Team for always keeping me running happy 🙂

Not it fam

Wanted to love these with how much hype they received but they just don't do it for me. I sized down half a size and have loop lace in place yet still struggle with heel slippage, can't size down anymore or I won't have enough length for the rest of shoe but somehow even now the toe box it too long/big and too small/narrow on my pinky toes. The upper is very uncomfortable. The shoe is heavy. The rocker is nice and noticeable at the right speeds but I'm always left with discomfort after my runs. The arch rubs me the wrong way. For thr firdt time in decades I'm experiencing shin and calf issues after use. These are a no for me.
