Great pack/bag. No cheap breakable parts!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This duffel/backpack hybrid is SSOO well made. The materials, stitching, zippers, handles, loops, and metal hooks are all high HIGH quality. The thing that I like the most is that there are no plastic buckles. All of the places that a buckle would go, hip and chest srtap, use a metal hook and loop system. No carrying extra parts and wondering if something will break. I also like the use of magnates to hide the hip support strap. Very clever. The bag itself holds a lot of stuff and is perfect for camping, traveling, or trowing your ropes and gear into a bag. The cargo bay door system keep the bag open so that it is easy to load and unload. Over all, this a great pack. If you are looking for a large and versatile bag, that isn't a dedicated hiking bag, this is it.

Awesome Pack!!

As an aspiring amateur photographer, I found that my camera gear had to be stored in several bags making it difficult to transport. I was looking a bag that will last a longtime. Through an online ad and YouTube videos I discovered Peak Design and their 65L Travel Duffelpack. My wife surprised me with a visit to the Peak Design San Francisco store where I had the change to check out this pack first hand. First impression...what Peak Design states on line about this pack is Gospel. This pack has an acute case of "Ilities"...Durability, Versatility, and Flexibility. Right off the feel of the pack screams "Bulletproof", well not literally, but you know what I mean. The nylon canvas waterproof shell...Solid. The grab handles, shoulder straps, and all the interior and exterior attachment points are anchored solidly. The Dufflepack is very comfortable when used as either the duffle or backpack. The interior fis cavernous. I have outfitted my pack with a Large Packing Cube V2 for my Camera, lenses, and camera accessories, a Small Packing Cube, for other misc. accessories, and a Tech Pouch for the batteries and cables, etc. With those three items there are still enough room in the pack to contain my full size and table top Tripods and my 13L Mindshift Sling Camera Bag. All without even having to expand the pack. Although, still having the option to expand the pack allows me to throw in a jack or two. The included optional external straps allow for even more flexibility allowing for things to be securely attached outside the bag. I HIGHLY recommend this back for Photographers and Travelers alike.

Sturdy and compact

I needed to change from my old 90L travel backpack that was too big for my latest usage. Since I've received my Travel Duffelpack, I had the chance to travel with it. The straps features are great for the train! No strap gets mixed with the neighbouring bags. The handles on each side of the bag make it very easy to grab. The compression feature (+ the travel cubs in it) allowed me to fill the bag and keep it nice and packed. I'm waiting for

Ideal travel Bag

My girlfriend bough her travel bag 4 years ago and she never travelled without it ever since. She was always telling me to buy one as well. This year i decided to buy one as well for our 3 week trip to Vietnam. I decided to buy the 65L bag instead of 45 L. I can still take it as carry on when i convert it to 45L bag. Because the zip is in the middle i can easily acces everything. The 45L bag has the advantage of having more accessible pockets, but still this is a great bag to travel. Tip: i came to the conclusion that adding some packing pouches is going to be the way to stay organized and keeping items in place and improve access in the Travel Bag.

Don't leave home without it

I bought the Duffel when it was released after looking for a versatile and practical bag for travelling. It's gone everywhere with me since, from short stays to international travel. The multiple handles make it easy to move it around and when you need to cover some ground on foot the shoulder straps fold out to keep your hands free. Another key feature for me is the expansion which really extends its area of application. All this with the very high quality finish and fixtures that you expect from PD. Highly recommended.

OMG such an amazing travel duffel

ok, check out my other review for the 45L Travel Backpack. I use that for everything. The 65L is its companion piece. I can fit everything I need in to these to bags. if I am flying I swap out the Duffel 65L for a Peli for obvs reasons, but anything local or by car its the Backpack and the Duffelpack. They're black holes except you get everything back superbly built, I feel like these'll last a life time, and I give them a beating and probably put too much stuff inside (: I would use this for personal travels as well but I dont do that anymore. well, with family, but then I have other 'bag requirements' ❤️

My new favourite travel bag

I've now used this bag on two trips and I absolutely love it. It holds everything I need to carry, the handles make it easy to manoeuvre into luggage racks, and the straps are comfortable even when trudging up steep hills to remote hotels in a hot European summer. The expansion panels let me pack all the unexpected things I didn't know I needed (like my SO's yoga mat and washbag), and the long top zip gives quick access in a pinch (the need to do yoga can arise suddenly). Overall, very happy with this bag and would definitely recommend; it'll be coming with me as my default bag for any trip over 2 nights.

Best Travel Backpack

This bag does exactly what it's supposed to, and it looks good doing it! Really easy to access the interior, solid zippers and material and most importantly its easy to wear around all day, fully loaded. Sits comfortably on shoulders and back (I'm 6' 200lbs, broad torso) without throwing off my center of gravity. I definitely recommend this bag for backpackers and business trips. The black shows dirt immediately, so if you're planning on checking the bag on an airplane, or stowing it under a bus; get a travel/rain cover for the bag, or go with the green ( we got that one too, it's still sleek).

Brilliant design & quality; 1-2 possible improveme

As a hiker/backpacker and business traveler my bar for bags is pretty high. This one meets every bar for design, quality, comfort, and even style. I love the expandable capacity, the interior nets, the backpack straps, and clever waist belt. The bag just works. The material and zippers are of the highest quality. Even looks great in a subtle/subdued way. If I could add 2 improvements: 1. Incorporate a zippered laptop compartment for easy access to my laptop, like they do with the smaller packs. 2. Smaller zippered (or even mesh/velcro) pocket for phone/keys/AirPods, for easy grab accesses while wearing it in backpack mode. 3. Make a un ultra-light version with Nylon or similar/thinner material.

So spacious

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our family does a lot of hiking and camping. This bag is the perfect size to contain all of our essentials and also keep them protected from the elements. I am amazed at how much this bag can hold. I love that it is also stylish and the straps are thick and padded which makes it comfortable to carry.
