This bag is gorgeous

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ahhhhh I love this new bag. It looks beautiful and sleek and sexy. I love how the magnets hold the handles together. I love how the handles and shoulder straps can be detached and moved to different positions. I love the pockets on both sides of the bag. I love how wide the top of the bag can open so I get to easily see everything inside. I love the material this beauty was built with. The outside is water resistant and doesnt seem to pick up dirt. The bag can fit enough for a 4-5 day trip. I use it both for travel and for the gym. I am about to take it on a week long trip to Washington DC for Christmas vacation and am excited to look darn good doing it :)

Good quality nice design

Bought my bag week ago. Good design and style. Only downside carry on handle doesn't feel premium as it not ergonomic in hand and magnet don't hold. Wish PD can send all the customer replace handle as gift.

Wonderful bag with big flaw

I bought this bag because the PD travel backpack was too heavy and unwieldy for travel, especially at airports. I love everything about it which make its flaws particularly pronounced, especially as it's otherwise so well-designed. THE HANDLES: I just don't get it, it's a well- documented complaint, the magnets just don't work. It's too weak. Why have they not replace the magnets with something stronger? It's so frustrating. All over bag magnets are weak too, not just the handles but the latter is the most interacted feature. The whole uncomfortable awkward design is not worth it if the magnets don't work. Fix this and the bag would be sublime.

A Perfect Sized Duffel for a short Trip

I bought the 35L duffel bag in sage about a month ago and have used it three times. The quality of the bag is top notch. I love the feel of the materials and it’s durability. I am able to get everything I need in the bag for a weekend and/or five-day trip. It is comfortable to carry and doesn’t feel too big. I mostly carry it by the handles because I also travel with a 20L backpack. The only con about the bag is the tote handles. The magnets are not strong at all and barely hold together. But this is minor and not a deal breaker since the bag has so many other great features. I would recommend the duffel bag. The sage is a beautiful color.

Nice Duffel Bag

I like my new duffel bag from Peak Design. I bought it to replace a TUMI Alpha duffel bag which has a poorly designed shoulder strap with very little padding. Peak Design duffel has plenty of padding on the shoulder strap, making it convenient to carry on your shoulder. PD's duffel is not as spacious as Tumi's Alpha duffel, but it's ok. It's plenty enough for my needs. The handles could be better though on PD's duffel. I find that the handles don't feel as comfortable in the palm of your hand in contrast to Tumi's Alpha duffel which has a leather band around the handles. Overall, I'm quite happy with my new duffel bag from Peak Design.

So pleased I found this fantastic bag!

This is a truly amazing bag! It is stylish, practical and versatile. I use this bag to Carry my work clothes to the gym of a morning and to take my gym gear home at the end of the day. It is so versatile as it fits everything easily, and still fits under the seat on the train I can carry all I need for the day - keys, phone, wallet, laptop and water bottle, so I only need the one bag. With other sports bags, I need to carry a second bag to fit everything in. I have done a few weekend trips and fitted everything I need in easily. I chose the sage green and am considering getting a black one for variety! I highly recommend this bag.

Great duffle, small flaws

Pros: amazing quality material, both inside and outside. I used to a trip to South Africa, packing well one could easily fit one week of clothes. The zippers and buckles also great. The shoulder strap are really confortable. The great price for the quality. Cons: the main zipper pull ripped on the first week of the travel, the material is very flimsy. The hand straps are very short to be used as a backpack strap. With all expertise of Peak Design in camera straps, I didnt understand why the hand straps are not size adjustable like the slide. The paddle could be adjusted with snap dots. With this, the backpack mode is not pratical.

Perfect Size, Poor Handle Design (Black)

I’ve had this bag for a little over a month and have used it on several trips. The 35L size is perfect for trip to the gym or a long weekend. Only complaint is the design of the carry handles. The nylon canvas material is used for the grip which creates an uncomfortable rigid feeling. The edge where the handle material is sewn feels “sharp” at times adding the the discomfort. However, this only applies to the Black color since on the Sage bag a soft brown leather is used for the handles. Wish to see a similar design with black leather. Also, as noted in other reviews the magnets in the handles are very week and virtually useless.

Everything I wanted in a Duffel

I have a need for duffel bags as I have a lot of short 2-day work trips where I don't see the need to use a suitcase. The functionality is second to none, external pockets are a game-changer, and the packing cubes fit everything I need and more. Even after using both packing cubes there is a little space left over on top for my dress shirts, packable towel and travel steamer. BUT what I truly appreciate the most is the structure of the bag. It's able to stand on its own without caving in making the sheer usability fantastic. It is not like most that are just one floppy piece of fabric and this, to me, makes it the perfect duffel.

Very slick duffel!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I may be over-indexing on the motif of black-colored items...my watch, wheels, coffee mug, this duffel and more....anyway, really like this bag. It's the perfect size for a weekend getaway. I'm not sure if it is water proof but it's certainly built like it is. Zippers are concealed and seems very high-quality. I also like that it 'snaps' out to a nice rectangular shape when filling it. Handles are comfy and the strap while a bit short at 1st (I'm 6'2") was good in the end. The material itself is thick which will be great for durability but at the same time isn't too heavy. Super pleased with this bag, highly recommend it.
