Am going to buy another

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fleece is LIGHT. Way lighter than I thought it would be. But, this fleece is WARM! It is my go-to fleece for cooler hiking days in the Rockies. I wear it over a Big Pine shirt and the fleece keeps me plenty warm while also being breathable. It's the perfect layering fleece for active days. I'll wear a jacket over the top of it on colder days. The item is slim fit. I'm thin and it fits me very well. The Banff Blue color is very pretty. Full disclosure, I'm a VF employee. This did not color my review.

this futurefleece is very nice material

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this futurefleece is very nice material -comfortable and well designed cut. bought specifically for another upper mid-layer for skiing in mid-winter. attempted using over the Summit Series Crevasse ½-Zip, but getting the layers to play nice wasn't working -there was no easy way to not have the sleeves not get turned around one another. i tried using it this way everyday for about a week before giving up on that particular layering system. don't get me wrong, this item is super nice, but until i am willing to try it as the base layer i am not sure where it fits into the system as layering on top of other items proved frustrating. no way i wasn't keeping the item as i am sure i will find it's place. sized up from the sizing table one level as i was looking for mid layer and it fits perfectly.

Supreme base/mid layer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sweater is perfect as a mid or base layer for active winter pursuits. I run a bit warmer, so I wear this comfortably under a shell from 20-30 degrees F and pair with a light (Ventrix!!) mid layer for colder than 10 def F. Surprisingly warm for the weight and thickness, but no wind proofing (to save on weight) so definitely pair with something over the top. Fits pretty slim, I'm 6'1" and 205 lbs and am more athletically built and I can't fit a size Large over another long sleeve.

Perfect layer for fat tire biking in the cold

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product to wear during fat tire bike races this winter. First race it was a success, layered a wicking t-shirt under this and had the required race flannel shirt over it. It was about 20 degrees with up to 30mph gusts and snowing. The combination kept me dry and warm during the hour and a half race and the after festivities. Surprisingly warm for how light it is. Normally I am sweaty and then get cold but this kept the moisture away. Exactly what I was hoping for.

Thin but warm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I typically wear a size medium in all my shirts and jackets. I ordered a medium but it was just a little tight so exchanged for a large. This new futurefleece is thin but keeps your body temperature regulated. I wore a baselayer short sleeve tee with this on top and a shell for the outerwear on a 25 degree ski day. With the limited about of layers gave me maximum movement yet still kept me warm all day. Would buy again.

Exceeded expectations!

Didn't really know what to expect since this was my first time buying "FUTUREFLEECE". Assumed it was like any other fleece but I am glad I was wrong. The material is much more lightweight allowing for easier layering. The material is deceiving thin but is as warm all the other fleece jackets I've owned. Definitely would recommend to friends, family or anyone looking for a lightweight fleece option.

Great thin jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the material, look, and color of the Future Fleece, however the fit is just okay. I wear it almost everyday so it's not a huge complaint, but the arm pits are too tight. I'm a thin guy, so there's no reason the arm pits should fit as tight as they do. I think it's an issue across their long sleeve items, as I have the same issue with a different product from North Face.
