These are my third pair of Merrell boots over the last few years and are by far the worst in terms of quality. Purchased new and within two weeks of casual wear (walking the dog ~4-5 miles a day) the sole is already starting to come off starting at the toe and this morning - the first walk in extremely light rain - found me having soaked socks. I thought these were waterproof. I've never had an issue with Merrell boots before, so this is a severe disappointment to say the least. They are comfortable and the traction is great, but the quality of this particular pair is not up to par. I had purchased these for an upcoming trip to Iceland and unfortunately will have to find an alternative.

I was looking for a hiking boot, that was waterproof, and was comfortable to wear, which is hard to find. (Size 15 wide) These shoes were comfortable from the get go, no need to work them in. And they are indeed waterproof, they kept my feet dry while working outside during a hurricane for several hours. I would definitely recommend these shoes.
Thank you for the great feedback!
I bought these boots 2 months ago. Very comfortable and great traction on ice and snow. However, the soles are delaminating from the leather. The delamination is occurring on both shoes from the toe cap to the instep. This is the first pair of Merrell boots I have had fail on me.

I purchased this boot a few months ago. Only to be disappointed by the sole again. The tip of the sole on the toe separates from the leather. My previous pair did the same thing. I don’t recommend buying this product. I like the boot but I’m forced to move to another brand.

I am a huge Merrell fan, with my delivery job they are certainly the best. Unfortunately this pair has not lived up to the test like other Moab pairs I've had. A month in and they are showing signs of wear past what is normal for me hence the 3 stars.
Nice quality, wery warm, looks awesome, super comfy
Full transparency- I got these for work. I have several other boots for strictly on the job sites when I need work boots. However, the nature of my work makes it that some days I go into client homes and then construction sites, all on the same day. These look professional (I like the look), fit extremely well, are incredibly comfortable, and for me fit the bill of being at the client’s home or at the construction site. On those days where I am not solely at construction sites, I wear these. Very versatile and comfortable to be in all day.
Good boot: seems well made, not heavy, breaking in over a couple of weeks. I bought the wide version and the fit a bit tighter than the non-waterproof version that I also have. Hard to put on though because the tongue is too narrow and makes hard to get my wide foot into the boot, and because there is no pull tab at the back of the boot. Otherwise performs OK.
It's a perfect fit in every way. My feet are narrow with high arches, so good fitting shoes are essential. These are perfectly shaped to my feet, without too, much space for inner movement, yet more than adequate room for wiggling my toes. They literally cushion my feet & feel great. They're also extremely, well made.
I bought these last year for the frosty mornings that would get my toes wet in non-waterproof shoes. I have only worn them maybe 10 times around the yard to break them in. We got some snow so I decided to test them out. That was a mistake, they definitely aren’t waterproof. Time to switch brands
