I was looking at Salomon, Hoka, Oboz…the usual suspects when I stumbled upon these. Unfamiliar with the HH boots I did some online researches and surprised to see a lot of positive reviews. I just went on the first hike with them - just a short 6 miles in the woods - and so far so good. Comfortable and sturdy. Supportive but lightweight. Will be trying them on a weekend long hiking trip soon and hopefully I will continue to like them. Btw before I left the house today I took the garden hose and sprayed water all over them. Completely dry. Oh one more thing. I had to size up.

Great boots - didn't quite work out for me.

wanted some waterproof hiking boots with a higher ankle and these seem to be perfect... Very well made, very light weight - everything about them seemed perfect. Super comfy from the moment I tried them on - then, I wore them around my house for a while and noticed that the soft fabric on the top of the boot - between the toe area and the laces - collapsed inwards and I could feel it on the top of my big toe. SO sad :( I would highly recommend trying them on - you might not have this issue. Sadly I will be returning them.
