There was no clarity on the volume style of the shoe so I took a chance due to the sale. If you have higher volume feet these may suit you, but they were baggy in all the wrong places for my narrow feet so I will be returning
(Consider this a 4.5 star review, REI doesn't let me do that and they're closer to a 5 than a 4) Bought these to use as beaters for gym training sessions, and they've mostly been great. Super soft which I personally love, and they've stretched to fit my feet super well. Still a little painful since I probably went down a half-size too much, but only if they're on for a while. For bouldering in the gym (and probably lead, if my city had a lead wall anywhere), just pop them off between routes and you'll be totally fine. LOVE how sensitive they are, I can feel so much detail in footholds and it really helps me dial in precise foot placements. There are a couple downsides though: the heel cup is a weird, baggy fit. My heel doesn't quite reach the bottom of it; I can press the bottom of the heel in a couple millimeters before it hits my foot, so heel hooks with this just do not work unless you're hooked on something really big. But it's a slipper, it's not built for heel hooks anyway, and I've never actually found a heel cup that fits me, so I probably have some weird heel morphology going on. I also never quite figured out how to use the No-edge on small, sharp edges; it felt more like I had to stand on pointe than any other shoe has, which was also a lot more painful. Trade-off here is that they felt a lot more secure on volumes and slope-y feet
