With a few design tweaks, it could be a great pack

There's a lot to like about the Camelbak MULE Commute 22, but I'm looking for the "perfect" bicycle commute bag and this isn't it. The ring-shaped zip opening for main compartment is a little narrow and will take more patience to zip and unzip than the arch-shaped zip I prefer. Organization could be better. I don't want to reach my whole arm down from the top opening to access that low interior pocket. The pack is offered only in black, which is a bad idea for hot summer cycling. Light grey would be preferred. The laptop compartment also has a non-removable foam panel. I mostly ride without a computer. When do, I'll pack it in its own padded sleeve. I have a messenger bag like his and the foam against my back is like an oven in summer. The pads that rest on your back look airy, but also contain foam. I will look for daypacks with suspended ventilation frames instead.
