I took these on my rafting trip down the GRAND CANYON. I brought them for the side hikes from the river. Which are usually washes with some water crossings. These shoes did so well! They have incredible traction for climbing over big rocks in dry washes, or on slick ledges. The traction is incredible! They were comfortable right off the go and my custom orthotics fit in then since they have a removable foot bed. I loved these boots on the trip! Completely waterproof over the foot but if water gets up to the mid part where the laces are water does come in. I am going to look for a goretex hiking gater for that.

I purchased these boots for winter hiking in the Sierra Nevada. I originally ordered an 8.5, but the boot felt a bit tight and ordered a half size larger. These boots are warm and waterproof, which was exactly what I was looking for. The snow levels weren't very high, so the boot height was perfect. I think pair with gaiters, they would suffice in deeper snow. My micro spikes fit well with this design of the boot, as well. Not only are they cute, but they are comfortable out of the box, as well.

Trail Runner with ankle support of Hiker

Purchased these for the West Coast Trail (6days, 75km of rugged trail on Vancouver Island). Did not need to break these in at all. Zero blisters, hot spots or damaged toenails, really quite impressed as I had no issues at all. Super lightweight, comfy and adaptable, felt like a trail runner with the ankle support of a hiking boot. Only reason draw back is that they do not dry very quickly. I probably should have opted for the gor-tex option for this specific trip, however the leather is very comfy.

I got these for work, I work in landscape . I really love the style of these,I get lots of compliments on them . I got the tan leather color which I love . originally went half size bigger like website suggested but it was to big so I went with my true size a 10 . I’ve worn them the last week so far so good took a day to break them in they were tiny bit stiff but so far I enjoy them . Wore them during the rain as well and was impressed with the waterproofing feet stayed nice and dry.

Merrell once again does not disappoint! I tried several different makes of boots and they all had areas on my feet that were uncomfortable even though I followed all suggestions on breaking them in. So I went back to my tried and true make, Merrell, and they were great. When I first put them on they felt a bit tight but after about an hour of just walking around the house with them on they conformed perfectly to my feet.

I haven’t tested these in the wild a lot yet but they are extremely comfy and lightweight which were my biggest requirements. I’m only petite and a lot of other brands feel really heavy and look silly on my legs, so I am extremely pleased with these. The fact that they are waterproof as well is the cherry on top!

Great multi-purpose boot to keep your toes dry

I am very pleased with these hiking boots. I wear them at work, where I walk 3-5 miles daily, both inside and out. I usually wear good athletic shoes, but needed these boots for cold and rainy days. There was virtually no "break in" time, the fit is as expected and they look good with jeans.
