I am a 72 year old woman who walks 10k or more 5 days a week on trails and access roads with a lot of rocks and roots. Pros comfortable around ankle and no slippage in heel. Easy to get on and lace up. Good grip on the mixed terrain in both and dry conditions. Looks good. Cons is I wear custom orthotics and there is not enough cushion in the forefoot as it causes my bunion and arthritis in toes to flair up. Also, I would say water resistant as they leaked slightly where the sole meets the fabric in the front sides. Took awhile and at least my feet weren’t soaked.
I put many miles on my hiking boots over a great variety of terrain. I need a boot that’s comfortable (plantar fasciitis and flat feet!), dependable on all surfaces (rocks, gravel, sand, mud) and durable. My Merrell Moabs measure up on all accounts!
I bought these boots for a hiking trip to Glacier National Park in Montana and I couldn’t be happier! Hiked 7 hours to Grinnel Glacier and they were so comfortable! Very supportive to my ankles. No break in period required, comfortable right out of the box!
I had a few coworkers that recommending these boots for hiking. Managed to hike Volcano Acatenango in them for 6 hours straight! They were a bit tight when I got them but they were very comfortable once I got a good amount of walking in them. I did however end up bruising my big toe a little bit as the hike down was super steep. Would recommend sizing half size up if you want to make sure you can enough space. I also ordered the wide version to try on, and they felt loose on me. So if possible, order a wide and your size and see which one works for you. Overall, great boot!
Wore these boots to hike a moderately difficult trail. It was the first time wearing them, and they were incredibly comfortable and provided good grip on rocky terrain. I’m definitely a fan.
True to size and very comfortable. I wear a 10 and bought a 10.5 women’s for comfort while hiking. I would recommend a .5 up.
Thanks for the awesome 5-stars and recommendation!
This pair was a Christmas gift, bought yesterday, 12/17/22. I wore them all day today, just took them off. I LOVE THEM!! I am already thinking about buying another pair in a different color lol. I found them extremely comfortable, definitely waterproof since I was outside today in the snow quite a bit. My feet never got cold. I am 58 years old, they did great on the ice. Looking forward to some deer hunting after Christmas while wearing these boots. No break in needed, great right out of the box. True to size, plenty of room in a medium width for a heavy sock. No, I do not have skinny feet. Thank you for such a great boot! I also received moab 3 shoe yesterday, I love them too ❤️
Merrell Women’s Moab 3 Mid Waterproof hiking shoes are my first pair of hiking shoes as an adult. I purchased them for a trip to Sedona, AZ and the Grand Canyon. These shoes did not disappoint. I was very comfortable walking thousands of steps everyday. I have very high arches and these shoes delivered when it came to comfort and support. They also have good ankle support, they’re waterproof, and the grip is amazing. Sedona has a lot of sandstone which can be slippery, but I never slipped once while rock scrambling. Not to mention these shoes are pretty cute; hiking shoes have a tendency to be ugly.

I’ve been wearing Meryls for a long time. I really love the color black and the blue. Can’t wait to get them. I just Ordered the blue ones For the last 30 years, I’ve been having to go to The shoe fits store in middle place .he had to do it build up for me on any shoe I needed since I had the surgery. I’m finally in a normal pair of shoes again without a lift.

I'm on a quest to see all of our National Parks and these were my first purchase. So far we have hiked in Shenandoah (rocky, damp, sometimes slippery) and in Death Valley (HOT! Dry! gravelly, uneven terrain) and these boots have been perfect in both. We got wet in Shenandoah but my feet stayed dry. We got sun-baked in Death Valley and my feet stayed blister-free. These boots are comfortable, nicely padded, waterproof but not stifling, and rugged but attractive. I LOVE THEM. In 2 months I will be going to Glacier with my daughter and buying her a pair of these as a gift for the trip.
