Sleek, comfortable but not durable.
I bought a pair as soon as they were released. The design is very minimalist and sharp. The insole is about an inch thick, making it very comfortable. The Vibram sole has excellent traction. I usually wear Onitsuka Tiger slip-ons when I go out, and I've been alternating them with this pair. Durability of these shoes is quite disappointing. After just a few months, the pull tab at the heel tore where it connects to the upper, and the padding in the heel also ripped. Today, a small hole appeared where the fabric of the upper connects to the rubberized material. Hope Arc'teryx addresses these issues in the next generation of this product.

New shoes?
THE SHOES I RECEIVED ARE NOT NEW ONES.
10/10 just don’t pull to hard
My most worn shoe as of recent! Living in nyc we do a lot of walking and having a shoe as comfortable as these help out a lot. In terms of function for approach I haven’t been able to take them out yet but I have used them at my local gym on easier coordination climbs, the rubber is still as good as I thought and if it stick on indoor climbs then I can imagine it to preform well outdoors during approaches. While putting the shoe's on, I ended up pulling too hard and ripping the part of the tab off from the fabric. That’s the only real downside I have on these. I downsize my climbing shoes quite a bit and pulled as if I was putting them haha. Nonetheless overall great shoes and will be getting more pairs later down the lines!
Comfortable and attractive daily shoe.
I was unsure of these but I love them. They are replacing my birkenstocks as daily office/home/wear around shoes. The casual feel and comfort of them feels pretty matched, but the function far exceeds what else I have. The vibram sole and smear toe really works. I could climb 5.9 in these if I really needed to. Been loving them for exactly the intended use, too. The flip down heel makes them so great for jumping in & out of climbing shoes in the gym or at the crag. Last, despite the low profile look, I am turning more heads in these than anything I own. 60% of my coworkers asked me about these on the day I got them. The compliments are flowing, if you're into that.
It's great but...
Love the design, it's confortable, but I'm using for a few months only and it's already damaged and I'm using only in the city. I'm not a hiking person. For the price, these shoes should be more resistant. I saw the new Black mid-height shoe but if it will be durable same as this beige model, don't worth the money. Maybe on sale it's ok, but not the full price.

Comfortable but not durable
Very comfortable shoes but didn’t last a year through normal wear and tear. I occasionally wore these for walking my dog around the neighborhood and now they’ve torn along the crease where the toe protection meets the fabric.

Listen, this is a good Fall purchase.
Comfortable and functional. Great for casual workwear, leisure, and a Saturday outside. Feels like you’re walking on marshmallows without sacrificing traction/grip.
unique and comfy
I have 5 arc shoes and boot. This is unique for very comfy slip on.
Fits like a glove for better or worse.
Shoes are very comfortable. They fit like a sock, but have a durable sole. The blending of the two seems to work well. The sizing is a bit odd to me. I have 7 pairs of Arc'teryx shoes all in 10.5 to include both running shoes and their hightop hikers. For this shoe the description is a roomy fit with room in the toe box. For me this shoe in my normal size fit more like a traditional approach shoe where my toes were touching the inside of the toe box. It wasn't uncomfortable, but did fit more like a glove than a roomy shoe. The 11 I found gave me more room in the toe box, but it felt too loose around the heel and mid foot.
Versatile Comfort: A Two-Week Review
I got these shoes around two weeks ago and have already integrated them into various activities, from daily commuting to gym warm-ups. However, I've yet to take them outside for a proper test. My initial impression is highly positive though; they boast remarkable comfort, rendering them ideal for shorter approaches to the crag. Moreover, their portability makes them a convenient addition to my pack for longer, more demanding approaches to climbing destinations where I will want something to chill in. I can easily envision them being a fantastic companion for multi-pitch climbs that require a walk-off descent.
