True to size, wide
Sizing: true to size. I wear 7.5 in street shoes, 38 in Birkenstock for reference. There are wide but not a bother to my narrowish feet. I can wear a sock or barefoot. The insole is a thick memory foam. The outsole is VERY sticky (when needed). I have not encountered any squeeshee noise and I would be cautious with the back hook per Arc’teryx reviews: it seems finicky. They are super comfortable and to me: warm! I use them around town + desert rock walk + après-ski + après-run. No structure to the shoe but the memory foam does adapt to the feet. I like the possibility to wear it as a mule. Another great product from Arc.
Modern shoe as comfortable as can be fits a bit bi
I have been wanting this shoe for quite awhile and finally pulled the trigger. I wanted the canvas color but it’s only in mens sadly. Anyway I got the arctic silk or white color. It’s very pretty and so comfortable. There is some room around my foot in the shoe so socks would help to make them feel more snug I think. I think I would like to try the 7.5 since I got an 8 but I don’t want to deal with the whole return hassle. These shoes so far just wearing around the house are great. All the materials are comfortable and stretchy and your foot really feels comforted in all areas. Great job to Arc’teryx for their material and footwear design!
Insanely comfortable and versatile
Wow! These shoes are beyond solid. As a chronic slip-on, no-tie shoe fan these are my favourite go to for anything non-alpine. I wear these way too much all over the city, to the gym, on bouldering approaches, you name it. After 9 months of near constant wear, the rubber and tread is still impressively perfect. The only wear I see is in the upper fabric where I have toehooked in them when warming up at the bouldering gym.
Great looking but doesnt last
Great looking shoes and comfortable, but the outer fabric where it bends ripped with less than 5 months of light use. Disappointed in the quality.
Hello there, thank you for your feedback on the Kragg Shoe. We're sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with the outer fabric within less than 5 months of light use. Our After-Sales team would be happy to take a closer look at any possible manufacturing defect. good feature!
very soft and comfortable. i wear it every day. the best shoe
Great!
Super comfortable and easy to put on. Fit right from the box. They feel like waking on clouds after taking climbing shoes off. They run a bit large, I typically wear 7 and had to 6.5.
The Heck with the Sizing??
SIZING: Way too big. Used the Arc'teryx size chart from their website, measured each foot in cm, sized down as per reviews and still ended up with too big a shoe-- in both length and width. For reference: in most brands, I typically wear size 9, sometimes size 8.5. This shoe, in size 8, was too big-- my foot was rattling around inside the shoe as I tried to walk. COLOR: 'Ray/Ray' is a pale neon yellow, as pictured. Such a fun color! MATERIALS: Fabric of uppers has good thickness, elasticity, and smooth feel. Insole is cushy with a bit of bounce, almost like walking on marshmallows. Aesthetically, I really dig this shoe-- it's a unique looking slip-on sneaker. If only they fit properly, they'd be my new everyday shoe. I'll give size 7.5 a try and report back. Fingers crossed!
Disappointing quality Kragg
Kragg Shoe looks really nice. The sleek, urban and modern design won me over. I had been skeptical of many shoe companies making these fabric-top shoes. I didn't trust they would last. But Arc'teryx to me have always meant really durable products I can wear for a decade or more. Vibram also means a super durable and resilient sole. So I went for it and bought a pair. Unfortunately, the promise is no more. I've had these Kragg Shoes for just ten months, five of which the shoes were stored away because it was Winter, and now after a few months, wearing them for walking and mostly indoors, the fabric has torn. Looks like other customers have had the same issue where the shoe bends at the toe joint. Wholly disappointed at Arc'teryx for making an inferior product. Please update and improve back to the dependable Arc'teryx quality standards.
Hello, thank you so much for taking the time to share this detailed review. We’re truly sorry to hear about your experience with the Kragg Shoe, and we understand how disappointing it must be, especially when durability has always been a key reason you’ve trusted Arc'teryx. This issue has been brought to our attention, and it’s something our teams are actively investigating and working to improve in future models. The Kragg was specifically designed for quick approaches and post-climb recovery, so while they offer exceptional comfort, they aren’t intended for all-day, everyday wear. That said, your feedback is incredibly valuable and helps guide our ongoing product development. We encourage you to submit a Product Service Request form so that our After-Sales team can take a closer look and explore a resolution. Thank you again for your honesty and support. We hope to have the opportunity to make things right and provide you with a better experience moving forward. https://arcteryx.com/ca/en/help/product-service/service-request
Post ski slipper
My post ski go to slipper, so comfy! I wear these almost daily, around town, to and from the studio and off the slopes. They are a snug fit and have been super comfortable so far. I bought in 2 colours (black and tatsu) but would love to see more options in future seasons. Perfect as a travel shoe no need for laces in the airport. Not sure how long the heel or pull tab will hold up, as a slip on it feels like it may tear over time. Happy so far.
Great for Belaying, Soft Approaches, and Campside
I've had the Kragg for about a month now and have gotten the chance to put it to use in a variety of different outdoor situations (climbing, day-to-day, camping). Let's state the obvious: the Kragg is not the footwear to buy to replace your dedicated approach shoe. Nor do I believe it's meant to do that. The Kragg shines in the areas it's marketed as: comfort, recovery, and quick approaches - or as I would call them, "soft" approaches. They're great for flat paths/trails to and from boulders. They're also great to lounge in by the campsite, stand in for belaying, and pretty perfect as a go-to throw-on for most casual outdoor activities. The ability to use the Kragg as a slipper is awesome as well. I'd highly recommend these for anyone looking for a secondary pair of approach shoes - something that can be used alongside your dedicated, laced approach shoes.
