A Warm Hug For Your Legs
I cannot give these a more enthusiastic endorsement. I love them. The Retro's are less constricting around the ankle than the standard Denali Pants. I wear them under my bib shell and stay toasty warm all day on the mountain. I wear them to the coffee shop or to WaWa or just about any place but my office job. They're spendy but worth it. I liked these so much, I bought the matching Retro Denali Hoodie. I admit that I am completely satisfied after my $330 total expenditure for this TNF suit of warmness.
I would like to buy it again is still |
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this pants because it's different I like the style and I like the quality
Excellent in most ways but elastic much too tight
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wear these around the house, which is on the cool side much of the winter. For warmth, they are perfect. I appreciate the nylon overlay at wear points, too, that will contribute to longevity. But the waistband and, especially, the cuffs are unnecessarily tight. Cuffs are almost impossible to get off past my heels-to the point that I considered cutting them to get them off. Instead, I have to turn the pants inside out and stand on the legs to pull my feet out of the cuffs. Extremely awkward and it didn't have to be that way.
Doesn't Match 95 Retro Denali Jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pants are objectively great. However, if you own the black 95 retro Denali jacket, the black fleece on the pants has a greenish tint when compared under certain lights. I bought these pants along with renewed 2021 Denali 2 pants, and the Denali 2 pants are a truer black and match the retro jacket better. I do love that the 2022 version comes in different lengths and has the word "polartec" near the belt line, and it looks like more thought was put into the details. These pants are still baggy like the older versions, so if you sized down for those, you'll want to do that here too. Overall I really like these pants - they look cool and are very warm - but the greenish color tint was a dealbreaker and I'll be keeping the 2021 version instead. Maybe the new Denali jacket has the same green tint, but I didn't have one handy to compare.
I would buy this product again. I want a second pair
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't get these pants for Christmas and was totally bummed. Bought them the week after and now I can't take them off. They are so comfortable, warm, breathable. My girlfriend commented they looked cool at first but it's been a month and now she's wondering if I'll ever take them off. It's like throwback to the days we all wore PolarTec fleece jackets; but for your legs. Mind blown. Thanks NorthFace.
Cozy, warm, durable!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super cozy, so warm! Love the added durability in the seat and knees. Swiss Army Sweats. My only complaint is the elastic ankle cuff feels to small to squeeze my size 12 foot through. Can't pull the pant leg up over my calf to put on socks easily because the ankle cuff is pretty stiff. Color on the website is a little more blue than the actual product.
Nice, but not perfect
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Normally wear a 38 w 29l. The Lnshort was perfect length and just a touch tight. The XL shirt was longer than the L and significantly baggier. They're warm pants, but tht pockets tend to let your phone slide out, there isn't much give at the wait-list, and the ankles are really right. I wish these had ankle zips or at least were more elastic.
Knee pads are great. Butt pad is gone?
A year ago I purchased the Denali blue pants. They are great however I didn't notice that the brown ones I got have the knee pads but NOT the butt pad. Why did North Face remove the butt pad and just keep the knee pads. Kinda a bummer because now I can't sit on wet surfaces like snow without having to be careful not to get my butt wet.
Warmest joggers on the market
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wear these almost every day when temperatures are below 40 degrees. They're perfect for work from home because of how cozy they are and especially because I have to walk my dog outside three times a day. By far the warmest, comfiest, and trendiest winter pants ive ever owned. Please make them in gray.
Great product, except for the waist
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second pair, the 1st was xs size, it wasn't too bulky at all, fitted kind of. except the waist was too tight, took it the tailor to be re-adjusted. The sm size was bulky for me and the waist still a bit tight. It keeps u warm after all. They should design a baselayer based on this product.
