Would Recommend
Bought these for skiing and they worked really well. Typically wear gloves with liners but my fingers would still get really cold. Didn't need to wear liners with these, even when it was 30 degrees and snowing. Like the leashes and I typically take them on/off to check my phone/take pictures or video. Would be cool if they had the zipper so as not to have to take them completely off. They were slightly bulky when trying to put them through the pole loop but manageable. Would be nice to have something softer on the back of the glove to wipe your nose (it happens to all of us). The thumb to wipe your goggles came in handy on the day it snowed.
Not warm enough even though they're rated "warmer"
I loved most everything about these except that they weren't warm enough. They're rated as warmer and from the looks of them, they should be wore warm. However, I was hoping to find a replacement for my current mittens that I didn't think were warm enough and it turned out that my current were exactly the same warmth-wise. But my current ones were literally HALF the size of the Montana Ski Mitts and fit into my pockets. I did like the thumb touch screen ability and it worked even better than using my own thumb. I returned these because they were pricey and not any better than what I had.
TERRIBLE
Terrible quality control. If you refer to the picture, the left thumb was sewn with the width of a finger. It's very disappointing that I have to pay return shipping in order to exchange it.
awesome gloves
Love these gloves. I recently wore them for a weekend skiing in Vermont and they were great. I love the longer length and loops to keep them in place so I don't worry about dropping them on the chair lift if I take them off to get something out of my pocket. Kept me warm with hot hands warmers for hours in 10 degree weather skiing. Definitely recommend
Perfect for cold and snow
I bought these for a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park in March (temps 10-40 degrees, snowy). They kept my hands warm and dry! Even after my hands were cold and starting to tingle, putting on the mittens warmed them up to a normal temperature. Love the wrist straps and extra little loop that helps you pull them on.
"Warmest"? Say what?
I don't know how anyone is reviewing these gloves as warm. They're so thin and not waterproof, not at all what I need for skiing. If these are the warmest gloves TNF offers, we're in big trouble. Also, it looks like there would be a pocket for hand warmers, but those lines across the knuckles are decorative only.
GREAT Mitts for Warmth, But Know They Are Narrow
First, these mitts are really really good at keeping your hand warm. If it weren't for my next point I'd give it 5 stars. Second, it's important to know that they run pretty narrow so I'd recommend sizing up at least one size bigger than you think you need, probably two.
Extra warm for snowboarding
I use these to snowboard and they're sooo warm. I take them off and let them hang from the wrist when I'm waiting for/on the lift. I wear wrist guards and was in between L and XL. On the wrist, the width felt like the same size but the XL felt longer in the fingers area
Tiny thumbs
I'm not sure why, but the thumb joint is super small. I can't even bend my thumb, I don't have large joints. I'll give it another chance with a medium and hope it works out. The lining is very soft though and feels warm
Great ski mitten
Purchased for skiing. I planned to use liner gloves with these, but they were warm enough to go without. Super soft lining. Used thumb for boogers (maybe I made that feature up). Will update review after a year of use.
