This bag is wonderful. It’s the perfect size to throw in your full-size luggage as a souvenir haul bag for your trip back home. The swappable handles and shoulder strap are extremely comfortable for all day use.

REI doesn't mention this on the product description, but this is a "water resistant" product, and they use PFAS aka "forever chemicals" to achieve this. I saw the "water resistant" description on the tag when it arrived. I just wanted a simple gym bag and have no need for chemicals known to cause human and environmental harm. Shame on REI for continuing to hide this information (and even worse, for continuing to use PFAS in their products). The Q&As for duffels of other sizes have plenty of customers asking about this information, which is how I eventually learned of it.

Awesome little duffel for Sailing

I was looking for a duffle bag to bring some extra clothing, towel, large bottle water, speaker into my sailboat. I tried it today and it's really nice and comfortable. I was able to fit all that and more. Hind sight it seems like the 40L would have been way too big and cumbersome inside the boat. I chose the orange color because I looks more sporty and also it would be easier to find things inside like the keys and wallet as opposed to a black interior bag. Overall I'm very happy with the quality and style.

Awesome gym bag!

I use this bag 2-3 times a week as a gym bag for climbing indoors and have owned it for 2-3 months now. PROS: - durable - sleek - keychain loop - nice colors - multiple sizes to choose from - packable - comfortable shoulder strap - external small pocket - internal larger mesh pocket CONS: - not packable into itself, but keeping the small bag the duffel packs into inside the bag isn't a hassle so not a big con - no dedicated shoes compartment - I wish the 28L would have compression straps to make smaller - I wish the 28L would also turn into a backpack carry style

Finally... the perfect bag in the perfect size.

I couldn't love this bag anymore if I tried. It's the perfect size... I use for a variety of things: I can put my 13" Mac in the bottom if I need to... and/or beach towels and sunscreen, and/or bike gear... and/or change of clothes, extra shoes.... whatever I need the bag to, it becomes. I love the shape... flip the lid back and it stands on it's on. Pockets just right... nice big mesh one on the inside of the lid, perfect and simple side pocket. Great straps... the right length... and the grip is comfy for when I really load it up (holds 6-packs of IPA's too). Shoulder strap is great. The ting wipes clean, feels bomb-proof and fits anywhere. I was afraid it would be too small... turns out it's the ideal size I've bene looking for. It is truly my daily bag.

Like this bag, except slippery shoulder strap

This bag is a great size- I use it to regularly take workout clothes and swim gear to the gym. However, the shoulder strap is so slippery it constantly falling off my shoulder, slipping, and falling. It's so frustrating I am actually contemplating returning the bag since I often have to take it with me when I walk home or on public transit. It is reliable when you use it cross body. If you need to walk a lot with this bag and prefer to use it on one shoulder rather than crossbody, then I recommend looking at a different product or an alternate strap.

Very Nice, Good Quality (Small) Duffel

This is a very nice, good quality duffel - I chose the small size. My application is to use it house small gas stove fuel and fire management equipment. It holds a compact folding shovel, hatchet, hand saw, gloves, bushcraft knife, sharpening equipment, several small fuel canisters and various fire-starters. Great way to keep all these items safe / separate from other camping gear in one easily recognizable container. I did add a thick cardboard liner to the bottom to help keep its shape.

Love this bag!

The 28L duffle is perfect for a road trip with a dog! We just did a cross country trip and this bag was perfect for all the things our dog needed. Treats, leash, water/food bowls, toys, etc. It was great because it kept everything in one location in the vehicle and was easy to bring in to friends homes, hotels, etc. The bag is also very durable and I love how easy it is to stash away when we returned home! Would highly recommend.

Sturdy Multipurpose Use

I really like this duffle. The material is great. It is sturdy. I like that it has attachment points in all 4 corners. I like that the top zips to allow viewing the entire inside. More roomy than I expected. I can use this as an overnight or weekend bag. But also as a large fishing tackle box or range bag! I like that I can grab a handle at both ends as well as the handles in the middle. The bag seems high quality thus far. I feel very satisfied about this purchase!

Haul is the right name for this bag

Tested: 12 cans of beer, 4 bottles of wine and 2 full sizes bottles of liquor. The party bag. Although I as a senior citizen, cannot carry this tote fully packed with clothing bag for 5 hours, it's terrific. This bag is my long stay grocery shopping bag and short stay bag if driving.
