Terrible for long distance

Purchased these specifically for a 7 day Camino from Portugal to Spain. Walked 8-17 miles a day. Had worn them twice before for 12 milers and then a handful of 5 milers but then saved them for the trip. They were comfortable in the beginning. Unfortunately, the died after my first day hiking at 13 miles. The sole curled up and chaffed all my toes and sides of feet. These ARE NOT MEANT FOR LONG DISTANCE! They didn't hold up at all- thankfully I brought another pair of running shoes that lasted the rest of the trip. Very sorry I purchased them as they didn't hold up at all. Do better HOKA!

Why does Hoka keep changing great shoes to meh….

My original Anacapa GTX were amazing right out of the box. I don’t remember having any pain or issues with them at all. Because the reviews on the Anacapa 2 GTX were so mixed I waited until my original Anacapa was too worn out to wear before buying this iteration. Huge disappointment. The toe box is narrower than the original, the heel cap left a dent in my foot. I’m going to give them a week of wear and if these issues persist will definitely return. I wish Hoka would stop changing a good shoe….they did the same thing with the Bondi.

Too hard; prefer original Anacapas

Same problem with these as with the new Arahis: they’ve made the footbed too hard. I love last year’s Anacapas; I have multiple pairs and wear them year round. They were the perfect blend of comfort and support. The Anacapa 2 has a firmer footbed, and it’s too hard for my feet. Within a few hours, they brought back my old heel pain. Very disappointed.

Great shoe

Purchased for cruise to Alaska with on shore touring at coastal towns. Waterproof shoes were recommended and I searched for some that would be comfortable. Since I know my size in Hoka Clifton 9 and Clifton 10, I ordered the same size in this shoe. It runs a little bit larger, but still fits well. Really pretty color also. Waterproof comfortable walking shoes in wide with are not readily available so I was really glad to find these.

Unimpressed

These shoes fit totally different than the Anacapa Breeze. Too long, too wide. I wear a 7.5 in my other Hokas and other brands and these are way larger. Also felt too flexible to be a hiker. Felt more like my running shoes.
