Weird cut and fit

Great fabric and pockets but weird cut and fit. I ordered a 4 based on the size chart and I had to use the waist cinches to tighten to waist as tight as it will go but the rest of the legs are like skinny jeans on me. I can still fit my bulky knee pads thanks to the stretch fabric but they are cut skinny. I don’t think I even have very athletic or muscular legs so this isnt usually a problem for me so it’s just the cut of the pants. I like them and kept them but would loooove them if they weren’t so tight. I prefer having thigh zip pockets for easy phone access for whipping out trail forks and these have that, so that’s a plus. I am 5’9 and usually have a difficult time with women’s mtb pants being too short but these aren’t too bad.

Service 5 stars, fit & pants features not

Gonna give it 3 stars because the material is ok nice and the zippers are helpful for pulling knee pads up etc. However, this version doesn't have the waist tabs as advertised on the product page. So the plus size version comes with a huge waist and kind of similar sized legs (almost no difference between 1x and 2x except in the waist) which for many women with thighs, butts and a slim waist is the exact opposite fit. Now add on the absence of waist adjuster tabs and instead a stretch waist band and the pant becomes unusable for anyone that is not just plus sized in the waist. Would be good for maternity sizing probably 😂 (sorry!). That being said, the return was easy and the Outdoor Research team was very appreciative of me giving this feedback so I'm giving their service 5 stars!!!

Great pants.

Thank you OR for making a great pair of pants. They are a great blend of comfort and protection. I mostly ride long backcountry, trail, and enduro here in Alaska. They are my go to pants for everything from 85F and sunny to 40F with light rain. Protect from branches, mosquitoes, briars,…. But still are comfortable and breath. The most perfect MTB pants I’ve found in >40 years of mountain biking.

Best Women's MTB Pant Available

I have shopped and felt many options for MTB Pants for women - Patagonia, FOX, REI, etc. These by far are the best fitting and best featured. The material is durable/tough without feeling bulky. They are exactly what I was looking for. Trying them on they fit perfectly as we. I am 5'4 135#. I wouldn't hesitate recommending these to any ladies looking for a pair of pants to ride in.

Love these pants. Fit great and well thought-out

I love these pants. They fit really well and they are so well thought out. I like having the long zipper along the calf so that putting knee armor in or taking it out is a breeze: You don't have to take the pants off! I also wore it on a 65-mile road ride. It was a chilly morning and so I had on my shorts with chamois, then I put these pants over it. It fit great! The pants are somewhat stretchy, so there was plenty of room for my padded shorts, and I like how it's fitted around the calves so that the pant legs don't catch in your chain or pedals. It's also lightweight (but warm enough for temps in the 50s). Once it warmed up, I took it off and was able to pack it into my very small hydration backpack. I like these pants so much that I am buying them in the other color. I have not tested out it's "abrasion resistance" yet, but likely will when I do a 20-mile MTB ride this weekend. Looking forward to wearing it!

Run very large

I like the material and the overall design but ordered the size that should have fit based on the size chart. They are waaayyy to big and baggy. I would exchange them for a smaller size but no returns or exchanges allowed. I’ll probably try them a couple more times but might end up giving them to someone that they’ll fit.

I’m very happy with these MTB pants. The whole Freewheel line is great, some of my favorite clothing for this sport that I’ve tried. On top of all the technical reasons to love these, I appreciate that OR didn’t “shrink it and pink it” for their women’s products.

Fave riding pants

Best riding pants. They look nice on too. I thought they looked short on the model, but they are the perfect length for me. The waist is a bit bigger than I was expecting but the adjustments on the sides are comfortable. Now I want them in another colour!

ridiculous sizing / no returns

sizing is way off. normally a size 6, sized up to an 8 to accommodate chamois, and still ridiculously tight. not designed for someone that rides bikes. this women's sizing is a joke.

Best MTB pants ever!!!

These are the best fitting mountain bike pants I've ever had (and I've tried alot of different brands). The zippers for the knee pads are a really cool feature too!
